Will be interesting to see how the Bulldogs go tonight. They gave St Kilda a spanking last weekend. If Melbourne account for them easily tonight, might be a long season for the Saints.

Gould in over McKinnon again, this time without that knee injury as the reason. From everything I’ve seen of the two at lower levels and how the team set up last week it’s an interesting choice.

Is it being too dramatic to say that our season is on the line today? With the conference system in place, and the season still so short, you need to get wins on the board early to be a realistic chance of making the finals. And St Kilda weren't exactly impressive last week against a side that just got trounced this week.

Let's get this train back on the tracks, or whatever the appropriate metaphor is :p

I wouldn't rule us out if we lose today based on how the conferences are shaping up.

Conference B looks a lot stronger. Fremantle, Melbourne, Carlton and the Bulldogs all look decent. We'll see what Collingwood looks like after today, but they could be in the mix too. That's five teams for three spots.

Conference A (our conference) looks weak. Brisbane and North the key teams, but Richmond look awful, Geelong mediocre again, GWS and Gold Coast unimpressive. We could easily finish 3rd if we get our act together in the second half of the season and that means finals
