It will be funny if it happens...but it wont!:thumbsu:

Will now, PG only needs to play to last weeks performance and he's a lock to beat GA's measily 85, haha...... In saying this i switched from Richo to PG and Richo played a blinder again.... damn! I should of just left Richo as captain and let what will be, be... sigh!

Ps. Off topic: Richo for brownlow... any chance? Prolly loses to many votes as Richmond don't win...

Great call

Not the first time this was said either. I really wonder at the brain power of some of the people on this board.

So easy to aftertime AFTER the event. Where were you BEFORE the match. Did you expect not to get royally belted after that insipid performance last week?

People had every right to expect most of there team racking up the possesions in my opinion!

I'm not pro Geelong either, don't have one player in my team and have a lot of Richmond players.

Ye I was there cursing the screen saying it was one game you twats! :thumbsu:

Didnt post because I was too angry to do it and would have been carded.

As I have discussed with other people, NO I DIDNT EXPECT US TO GET BELTED. Last week was an insipid performance, but it was a one off.

Maybe those that actually watch football and not the fanfooty scores would have noticed that.

Er, excuse my ignorance but who is PG?

Not really fazed by Ablett's performance this week. Sure he was down on standards from what was expected against Richmond, but 80 from a captain is still pretty decent. Plus there wasn't a chance i was confident enough to pick someone like Gibbs or Pav, but hey them's the breaks!

I'm trying to keep my captain conservative at this stage and will branch out into more 'higher risk' options further into the year.

I flip flopped between GA and Cox all week and settled on Gaz. 85 is decent, but to keep pace with the better sides you need 100+ from your captain. I sense I may be cursing my decision! LOL

Why the need to branch out into higher risk options? Just stick to Bartel/Ablett, back your own team and let others have to play the low percentages by picking other captain options.

I suppose that's another way of looking at it, although a majority of those teams that have Ablett will most likely select him as captain. On one hand if you select another player, such as Cox who scores you 50 more points than GA, you'll gain an advantage over quite a few teams for that given week. Although, on the flip side if the risk doesn't come off you'll be left lurking and needing to make up the score gap in captain choice. There are pros and cons for either option i suppose.

Also by risk i should've stated 'calculated risks'. These include Gibbs, Cox, Pav - who all have the potential to score quite highly as your captain in comparison to Ablett, although perhaps not as guaranteed as Ablett's flawless DT form at the moment. :thumbsu:

Nothing wrong with Cox, and to a lesser extent Swan/Corey.

Otherwise you are right. :thumbsu::D

Went with Ablett last week; switched it to Bartel this week. Loving this combination at the moment. A nice average of 124! Let's see if I can keep this up! :p

Best Case Scenario for 2008 if you picked the right one:

Rd22: 122 - Bartel
Rd21: 145 - Bartel
Rd20: 126 - Ablett
Rd19: 104 - Ablett
Rd18: 144 - Bartel
Rd17: 147 - Bartel
Rd16: 94 - Bartel
Rd15: 134 - Bartel
Rd14: 145 - Bartel
Rd13: 147 - Ablett
Rd12: 127 - Ablett
Rd11: 148 - Ablett
Rd10: 123 - Ablett
Rd9: 118 - Ablett
Rd8: 135 - Ablett
Rd7: 108 - Bartel
Rd6: 85 - Bartel
Rd5: 150 - Ablett
Rd4: 114 - Bartel
Rd3: 125 - Bartel
Rd2: 136 - Bartel
Rd1: 97 - Ablett

Total: 2774. Average of 126!
