Hi guys.
There’s no way i have the time to produce what i did for round one, but here’s a wrap of the captain options for round two:
Round Two
Adelaide v Saint Kilda
Geelong v Richmond
Collingwood v Melbourne
Carlton v Brisbane
Sydney v Hawthorn
Essendon v Fremantle
Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne
West Coast v Port Adelaide
Captain Options
Goddard – solid 99, and i actually thought he looked a bit ordinary in the first half. Jump on him now though, as his last two scores against Adelaide are 136 and 141.
Richardson – scored a great 114 last week in a losing team, and has recent scores of 70, 101 and 106 against Geelong
Deledio – to be honest, i thought he looked horrible last week, and the fact he still pulled 85 is promising. Last two scores against Geelong is 101 and 89, but i wouldn’t be surprised to see ling hanging off him this week.
Steve Johnson – roaming forward last week, and looked fantastic. Last two scores of 73 and 83 against Richmond isn’t outstanding though.
Gary Ablett – If you have him, your laughing. Last three scores against Richmond are 135, 99 and 129. At worst, you will get a tonne, at best, you might get 150.
James Bartel – Just like gazza, bartel will rip it up. While he didn’t get much MF time on Friday, his last three scores of 144, 93 and 132 points to a big outing.
Corey – Would you believe all three will gun this? Last three scores are 129, 91, and 134 against Richmond.
Chapman – scored 119 last time they played. All the geelong boys should score well, particularly against Richmond who leaked the points freely last week.
Bruce – last four scores 98, 84, 124 and 100
Green – last four scores 102, 83, 80, 117
Swan – he started on fire last week, but i wouldn’t expect too much this week. His last three scores against Melbourne are 93, 94 and 89. Might be asking a bit much to get the 105 you would want from your captain, particularly against a Melbourne side i think has improved.
Dalziell – ok the people have spoken. This guy is a Junk time specialist.
Power – Racked it up last week, scoring 133. He has a fantastic record against carlton. Last sox scores are 101, 109, 74, 102, 112 and 102, and Voss’ high possession game plan may help him even more.
T. Johnstone – starred last week with 133. While the last time he played carlton he scored just 42, the two times before that he managed massive scores of 150 and 154. In form, and with potential.
Marc Murphy – superstar. Really showed himself. Last two scores are 97 and 142 against Brisbane, and i can see him racking up a big hundred once again.
Bryce Gibbs – Considering he has scored 87, 79 and 84 in his last three encounters against Brisbane, i thinkhe is developing a liking for them. I think another tonne could be on the cards.
Chris Judd – Loves the lions. Last three scores 109, 88 and 111. In 2006, he scored that incredible 177 against them too. Looked good on Thursday.
Luke Hodge – if he plays, i say, no no no! Broken 90 just thrice in 9 matches against the swans during his career, with no tonnes.
Sam Mitchell – No. 78, 67, 89, 62, 73 are his last five scores against Sydney.
Franklin – too inconsistent for my liking, but has scored 111, 58 and 102 against swans in recent outings.
Stanton – he would be the perfect DTer if he didn’t struggle so much with tags. Could rack it up against freo, though his last four scores of 82, 63, 109 and 93 are hardly promising.
Pavlich – get on him! Outstanding record against Essendon, with a career average of 104.9. His score against Essendon (most recent listed first) are 103, 168, 113, 116, 112, 115, 81, 110, 92, 108, 104. INCREDIBLE!!!
Daniel Giansiracusa - what a star. His game is perfect for the style of footy being played with the rolling zone IMO. He also has a good record against north Melbourne. His scores are 117, 81, 62, 128, 74, 118, 116 – this combined with his fantastic form in round one means he could be a good pick.
Gilbee – your crazy even to be considering this, but to convince you even more, his last 4 scores against north are 54, 60, 54, 67.
Boyd – recent scores 94, 112, 111, 94. Looks like he will get off to a strong start to the year again.
Cross – id recommend not. Recent scores of 81, 92, 82, 89 and 90 against north.
Cooney – he might be underdone, but his record is fantastic against north. Last four scores are 80, 113, 119 and 122.
Harvey - i think he starts slow, but you cant deny his recent history against the dogs is awesome, having scored 124, 79, 113 and 139 in their last four encounters. Underperformed on the weekend, but would be a solid pick.
Kane Cornes – I like his chances, with his recent scores against the weagles including 119, 75, 124, 104 and 115. A solid captain option.
Chad Cornes – if you don’t have many options, don’t even hesitate to jump on chad as his record is outstanding. Last six scores against the weagles are 112, 86, 139, 100, 127 and 105.
Burgoyne brothers – have poor records against west coast.
Dean Cox – looked ok on weekend. Last two scores against Port are 107 and 103.
The roughies:
Andrew McLeod
- Started season off fantastically with a score of 109
- Last three scores against saints are 96, 117 and 99
Shane Tuck
- Last 4 scores against Geelong are 120, 55, 100 and 110.
Joel Bowden
- With raines out, will he revert to a HB role? I think the backline may well see alot of the ball in this match too. Scored tonnes in 4 of last 8 matches against geelong. Very risky though.
Heath Scotland
- Last 5 scores of 75, 134, 102, 98 and 103 are very promising, though he may still be a little underdone.
Brett Kirk
- last five scores 108, 98, 110, 102 and 96. I don’t think many people have him though!
Adam Goodes
- last two scores 112 and 105 against the hawks
Adam Simpson
- looked ok on weekend, and with his last three scores against the dogs being 100, 103 and 97, he might produce the goods.
