What id like to know is who picked the best players yesterday?? from where i sat Jacko was our only good player.
Well your blind then, Serong worked his ass off all day.. Dudley was also very good.
Way too few though..

What are the chances we go in unchanged v Melbourne?

Tbf to the coaches I thought we picked close to our best available side yesterday, albeit Darcy instead of Cox looks woeful now.

Andy had the worst passage of play I’ve ever seen from him, dropped a sitter, then picked it up and got caught in a dumb htb, then stood in the wrong place and gave up 50. He did work his arse off though trying to apply pressure through the middle.

Just a tag bro

I can tag literally whoever I want, you need to calm down. Legitimately
Yeah nah, the club does the engagement in good faith.

There are enough keyboard warriors, it's one of the worst sides of social media unfortunately, particularly venting after poor results or when they're hurt about their poor gambling choices.

No one likes their team losing but it doesn't justify poor behaviour.

At minimum Darcy has to go out, he’s not fit.

In: B.Cox
Out: Mcdonald

The lack of out: mcdonald comments on the thread is concerning. Wasn't very good in the praccy and not very good today either, thought Davies showed a lot more in that praccy. Clearly he comes out provided Cox is ready to play next week.

On chapman, I thought he did a lot of things right (regarding disposal) but obviously was towelled up 1 on 1. Jezza is a player that's well above his pay grade and honestly he's a lot better as an attacking minded HBF than a third tall defender. Ryan being ill doesn't help, he's desperately needed in the side but if the selection panel believe he needs a game at peel for match fitness then I'm happy for him to come in that way.

Little reasoning to drop anyone else from my view. Playing Darcy this week was a gutsy call considering his interrupted pre season but will build into the season, at his best he's a gun who provides silver service to our mids and far too good to drop.
Cant agree on Darcy. These new rules almost make him a liability. He’s a tap ruck, so is Cox. Cox is on a 1/3 of the coin

Difference is at least you can stick Cox up forward when he’s not in the ruck and he can provide an occasional target and kick a goal.
I don’t even think Darcy can do that - he’s either in the ruck or riding the bench, it’s a wasted pick right now.

Disagree. A tag is just a tag. But we move on.

I would hope that other post has also been removed, totally over the top reaction from that person.

McVee out.
Darcy out.
Chapman out.

Send to JL when possible people.

Cox > Darcy

Darcy playing 45% TOG is egregious with the impact he had. Do you know how unfathomable it is to play 56 minutes in today's game. They chose against their better judgement to pick an unfit player for a pivotal position and it backfired. Is that arrogance or ignorance. It also begs the question, is Darcy's fitness level due to the setbacks from the surgery or his level of professionalism? They can rectify this by dropping Darcy and making him earn his spot back. High performing institutions have standards and boy did we drop them today.
Yes. By selecting him they turned an aspect of the game we should have held a significant advantage in into a nothing burger.

This time last year we made 3 changes after being belted by Geelong in round 1. After losing by 10 points, scoring over 100 and breaking a scoring record in the first quarter, I doubt there will be massive changes. Some will say it's conservative, but I think it's sensible. You don't throw the baby out with the bathwater after a close game in round one. I think it will be cox for omac

4th quarter.
Young, Switta, Dudley, amiss, walker, Treacy,Pearce,Drizzy and Brayshaw combined for 5 touches... For a final term with the game on the line I would expect a hell of alot more.
Yesterday I learnt that that Serong is the only player that is worthy of captain, I love Pearce and when he's up and going he is elite, but when you have a captain that is so inconsistent, spends half the year battling fitness to get up for the game each week, how is he supposed to lead by example?
Caleb gives his all week in week out, regardless of if he's getting tagged or not, some days he may be off but the effort is always there and he leads by example.
I am usually one to praise longmuir but boy did he get some selection calls wrong.
I don't care that he left Luke Ryan out due to match fitness/preseason form, but to leave him out, someone that's been in the team week in week out and put his body on the line for this club, and then go and pick Sean f***ing Darcy to play 40 minutes is f**king ridiculous. What was the point of getting Mason Cox if we aren't going to play him?
Rant over.

The ball barely went forward in the last quarter. So Amiss, Dudley Switta and Treacy will struggle without supply.

In general thought Dudley’s game was one of the positives.

Amiss relies on delivery. It’s frustrating that the players still don’t honour his leads.
Cameron on the other team gets fantastic kicks from Miers, Bailey Smith.
Both are not wrestlers. Yet Geelong make it work for Cameron. Then make it work for Neale.

O'Driscoll was poor yesterday and hasn't shown anything for years. Injuries have hindered his development however he needs to show something more than he is currently. Totally unconvincing player now.
Chapman needs a solid run at Peel.
Darcy to be replaced by Texas Cox.

In: Plug n Play Banners. Good utility to have on the day, whether it be hhf, def, or wing. Can run all day, which would of been useful yesterday

Good team D as wil run back often to help out. Wasn't a coincidence when we went on that winning streak that our defence was solid and whether you choose to dismiss it or not, Banners contributed to it

Did anyone see the Peel vs Perth WAFL PS game? All the other games on the WAFL site list the best players except the Peel vs Perth game.

Cooper Simpson, Charlie Nicholls and Jaren Carr got a goal each

Amiss needs to mark the kicks that go to him, had enough looks but didn’t clunk them.

After q1 we couldn’t get the ball into that 50 to 70m from goal zone where we can hit the leading forwards.
