Thinking the same. Say Nank gets 90 on the ruck bench. I can use Strnadica to loop Parfitt and Eddy in the forwards, and surely one of them gets 60. Gawn plays I'm sacrificing 30 points. Gawn's a late out and I make 90 points compared to no cover. No league games this week so no harm done.

If Nank gets 140 and Gawn plays but gets 50 thanks to his bad back you'll see me in the Vents & Regrets thread.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. Unless there's any further (negative) news today, I think I will probably roll the dice on Gawn playing though, mainly from fear of missing out on a monster score.

If he doesn't play and one of the shit truck forward rookies pulls out a good score, then I will be the one in the vents & regrets thread.

This is another thing that I was concerned about, but I'm thinking that second game in - and Goodwin's second game as coach - it would be a bit early for Melbourne to be getting complacent and thinking of the win as a certainty.

I just don't see the point in getting someone ready after like 970 days and then dumping him after 1 game.

Well it's more a monster score from Nank that you're risking vs the on-field rook if you make him ruck emergency. Gawn plays and you still get his 170 vs Kreuzer. Worried that Nank could get 20 HTA on Grunday tho.

Lever is an upgrade on Otten. He's a great footballer but injuries have limited him. Snake is the future. Depends on how we choose to go, Lever may come in for Kelly. But I doubt that Otten's JS is very good long term. That's why I didn't touch him.

True. Confused myself for a moment there.

I guess I will just try gauge the feeling surrounding Gawn a little before the game starts tonight. Certainly Nank to ruck emergency is the safer option.
