Reckon you back in the higher piced rookies. I'd go brayshaw. Seems to have more of a conrested game
True. Coming down to a choice between Dow and Brayshaw. I can make arugemts for both, so will probably flip a coin. Seems to be a strategy that's as good as any

For Holman, there is nothing extra to prove against his old side. Though the pain of his delisting is still a motivating factor.

“I thought I was getting better,” Holman says.

“I was improving a lot, especially from when I first came in. I’m not really sure, though. SOS came in and wanted to make some changes. He had his plans set out and I wasn’t part of that, which is fine now that I look at it.

“It was disappointing at the time, but we’ve all moved on now.

“Obviously it would be good to get a win against the old side, but I don’t think I’ve got anything to prove. I’d just like to have a good game for the team, that’s for sure.”

After his delisting, Holman’s two years at Central District were rock solid.

According to Champion Data, he was top five in the SANFL for disposals and contested possessions last season, averaging more than six tackles and nearly a goal per game. He finished third in the competition for ranking points.

His intensity around the ball, something Holman lists as one of his biggest strengths, was immense.

That, combined with the blueprint the Western Bulldogs and Richmond helped create for premiership success through manic forward pressure, made him an ideal candidate to return to the AFL system.

“I always had the goal to get redrafted in the back of my mind,” Holman says.

“I never really thought it would happen. I started off a bit slow in the SANFL in my first year there. I started to come good a bit after the first half of the year. I thought then I might be good enough.”

Having been Gold Coast’s No.1 pressure player throughout the JLT Series, he racked up 13 tackles in torrential conditions in the side’s victory over North Melbourne in Cairns.

:thumbsu: Same here ......same as most i'd suggest, although Holman is still an unknown ?
My only logic for Holman onfield is he's dead keen to impress early. On his 2nd chance and very few get it. Dom Barry similar situation.
Kids like Brayshaw/UDL/Clark/Rayner etc know they are locked in for 5 yrs minimum even of they spud it up for a few yrs. Thats the way it has been. Not much logic but all i can go off right now.
If that means Holman becomes a manic tackler to fulfil a role he'll rack up 65pts a game with a 7 tkl avge i reckon. 35 pts from assorted spilt ball. Only concern is giving away frees.
Its a crapshoot with rooks, so i'll take 65 anyday until i see obvious must haves.
Still reckon Stephenson looked to have settled fastest into this level out of the top draftees.

Yet again happy with my selections, but looking at a 2200 score again.

6/611

Goldstein looked good, I'm happy with that choice of 2nd ruck, good to get a big win with lone Goldy.

LDU looked a lot better, he'll never face the same conditions as Rd. 1 so hopefully 70-80 is his usual scoring. North mids won't always be on top however, but he got better with each qtr.

Savage looks a 95 avg. with ease, never seems to do much, but the scoring just ticks over.

Billings needed more mid time given the way the game was going, scored OK despite.

176 or whatever it was between those 2 yesterday was a massive get out of jail.

Along with Tim Kelly, the maturity in the body helps also.

I'm tempted to field Holman today. Playing the club that delisted him. Lots of players tend to have a blinder the first time they play their old team. I've got a few hours to make up my mind between him, Kelly and Brayshaw.

I'm still juggling Kelly vs Brayshaw
atm I'm going with Brayshaw
Kelly - with Danger in, how many mids are sharing the ball
Brayshaw at home will do better
I'm hoping that if I make the wrong call, which I inevitably will with one or two of them, thats its a 10-20 point wrong call, not 60-70

582/5. No C yet (Danger 200+ on Monday :moustache:)

Gotta bunch of kents playing tomorrow:
Cripps, Simpson. Holman Bench E.
Murray, J.Kelly (VC), Lobb, Cogs, Finlayson. ZGL bench.
Gawn, Fritsch.
Fyfe, Walters, Brayshaw, Smith. Banfield bench.

Would be ******* spectacular to be around 1950-2000/18 with Danger C still to come. But I'm sure the SC Gods will find a way to **** up my dreams.
I am soooo jelly of your start and your side kenty. Well done sir. Good luck bro!
