How weird. It says Round 2, but more like the first round. A pre season followed by a mini pre season.
Hogan, Hill, Wilson, Matera all back fitter. A full list bar Hamling, Switkowsi and Logue to choose from.

Would love to see
In: Hogan, Matera, Wilson, Hill
Out: Schulz, Duman, Banfield, Crowden

Got to keep it chill. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Edit: oh and include Mundy, Acres and possibly Young.

Okay definitely not getting ahead of myself.

Pearce, not Logue.

Yeah pretty excited.

Team

Ryan / Logue / Wilson

Conca / Cox / Cerra

Bewley / Fyfe / Aish

McCarthy / Tabs / Sturt

Walters / Lobb / Shultz

F: Darcy / Tucker / Brayshaw

I/c: Mundy / Hughes / Acres / Blakely

In: Mundy, Hughes, Blakely, Wilson

Out: Crowden, Banfield, Colyer, Duman

Next in line: Valente, Serong, Young, Carter, Henry, Duman, Matera

Hogan looking a long way off as not fully contact training, Blakely to get a second chance as has potential and young boys to get a run throughout the course of season. Haven't heard much about Hill so not sure what his situation is but looks fit.

And our secret weapon sturt to kick 3

Would live to see Hogan back. That would make me feel more confident about this game and the ones against the Suns and Port.

The games will be closed to spectators but all games can be watched live nationally on Fox Footy and streamed with an AFL Live Pass on the AFL app.

Games will also be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7.

For those worried about direct telecasts

Brisbane are favourites as they should be.

I’m thinking they’re a little slow. Neale gets his possessions through attrition And shorter quarters don’t suit him.

Reckon this may be closer than most think

Brisbane were poor in round one really. I know we weren't that great either but Birchall is no Hodge. We must have a sneaky chance.

Not sure how this one will go. I'm hopeful of a decent month on the bris/gold coast hub experience.

So who wants to have a go at our ins and outs?

Round 1:

Backs:
Luke Ryan, Griffin Logue, Ethan Hughes
Half-backs: Reece Conca, Brennan Cox, Taylin Duman
Centre: Brett Bewley, Nat Fyfe, James Aish
Half-forwards: Sam Sturt, Matt Taberner, Bailey Banfield
Full forwards: Travis Colyer, Rory Lobb, Michael Walters
Ruck/followers: Sean Darcy, Darcy Tucker, Andrew Brayshaw
Interchange: Adam Cerra, Lachie Schultz, Mitchell Crowden, Cam McCarthy

Acres I suspect will force his way in; I suspect for McCarthy due to fainting. Matera if he's fit for Schultz. Maybe Crowden comes out for Serong or Valente, if the hype is to be believed.

Edit:

Can't believe I forgot Hill, Willo and Mundy are all fit too.

Unbalanced but just picked my best 22 with interchange our best young talent.

Going to be interesting seeing our seconds vs Brissys seconds in a scratchy, Brissy absolutely dominated the Neafl last year, will be interesting to see if that was because the Neafl is terrible or whether they are that good depth wise.

I'm weirdly hyped for a Robertson vs Valente matchup.

Two tough inside mids with significant leadership potential who were meant to go late in the first round before sliding.

Seconds going ahead? As in scratch matches before the proper games?
Haven’t read this anywhere.

All the names look good but I suspect that forwardline would be very slow and would allow very easy access out. Don't be surprised if Banfield maintains his place for forward tackling pressure and heck he kicked 4 goals as well today. Sturt and Banfield gives you a little bit more speed and pressure.
