Bolton, Jackson and Young should be more than enough flair supported by Serong and Brayshaw. Hawks have Day and thats it, or is Newcombe, Morrison and Nash keeping teams up at night.

I'm not buying it, it might not have a prime Fyfe or Bont but it's ****ing good. JL has them confused out of their minds at the moment.
I'm not saying the midfield is dogshit. At full strength it's one of the best but when one of the big 3 is missing it starts to look a bit thin. And if I was an opposition coach I'd be happy to have Andy and Caleb delivering inside 50. I think we need Warner more than we do Pickett. More quality in the midfield is a must. Small forwards can disappear when there is no quality ball coming in.

How did Bolton go? Did he at least play well? Stats didn't look incredible but not always the whole story.

Looked rusty and didn’t have chemistry with the other forwards yet. Should have had 2 goals and created a lot of scoring opportunities for us. 6-7/10 performance.

Pretty sure most are saying they don’t give a toss or hope we lose to the Eagles to make themselves feel better if it happens.
If that’s your thought then you’re heading into Flagmantle territory & that’s embarrassing for you.
**** me we’re 2 games into the season.
Nope I fully expect to win and for it to mean nothing in the scheme of things. That's the whole point. Being able to beat **** teams is something we generally do.

What I am concerned with is the board using wins against **** teams to justify JL staying on despite not being able to beat anyone good. Especially not in a close game.

The last time we won against a top 8 team was June last year (Swans at SCG, by a point and really should have drawn at most). There is a clear pattern and it doesn't bode well for the long term.

I don't think anybody here is saying they want to lose to the Eagles for any other reason than it's probably the only way the club might move on from JL. But even with a thumping from Meth Coast I don't think they sack him anyway.

They can not close out quarters, In fact, one of those that bleed goals in red time.
And have no idea how to shut down in close games like yesterday.Look at Sydney, they locked the ball in out forward line with stoppages in the last minute and a half.Never usually worry about the coach,,, but.......

Shit attitude to have tbh.
The players should be hurting more and will go out and thump West Coast, I hope.
The draw opens up. It’s possible to go 4-2 then 6-2 really quickly. Just have to bide time and get Young, Darcy and Fyfe in.

He didn't go on the lead and stayed back for a possible but unlikely intercept quite a lot as well if I saw it correctly. Can't have him and Ryan in the same backline imvho.
I haven't seen a replay so i may be wrong.
Oscar McDonald doesn't have as much talent but he does try his guts out.

This may be the year I stop my membership. I'll continue to watch and support but the club doesn't deserve my direct dollars anymore.

I say down to watch on Sunday fully believing we were going to lose. Geez it was a dour watch. Sydney only led for 10 minutes. The whole time we were in front it felt like we were going to lose.

There is no mongrel. No ruthlessness. No joy.

You could tell the players didn't want to even be there as they were walking out through that cringe high five tunnel at the beginning. Set the tone for the whole game.

No it’s not.

Newcombe is their Liberatore. Hard nut, he’s smart with the handballs inside the stoppages.

Day kicks 3 goals with 30 disposals. Fremantle mids are not even close to that.
Worpel should be in that group. He’s strong and just tackles all day.
Nash is underrated

DAmbrosio is where it’s elite. Even when down or in a close game, his kicking is spot on and takes on the down the line kick.
Sharp? Has nothing but run and bomb. If only he lowers the freaking eyes and stop running around like he has to be the hero. A short 15-20m pass on the chest is all he has to do.

Serong is too short and very easy to tag these days.
Brayshaw is Brayshaw.
Having Young out kills the middle.
Newcombe is a jet

You taking about Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera? At the time he wasn’t. Plus Erasmus is a WA based v SA. Gamble sometimes.

This team can be called the Half Backers with the amount on the list. Not sure what NWM would fix
The lack of an elite user from the backline is one of the teams biggest problems. We absolutely need a player like him.
