Nerves aren’t not wanting to be thereBody language doesn't lie.
Sometimes it does. I often sit with my arms crossed when I am open, relaxed and happy.Body language doesn't lie.
Perfect summary, every year the same kick out stratergy , just kick it to the Ruckman and the tallest forward that has come up The ball 9 times out of 10 comes straight back as the opposition set up for it PLUS we never have a crumber at the front of the backIm on the bus coming home from the game so apologies if I repeat any comments.
Shocking coaching
No tag on the Chad, just waltzing around singing Free Bird.
Ten forward 50 bombs to a pack, no one ever front and centre crumbing except red and white.
Eight consecutive attempts to clear the defensive 50: Ryan long 50 m to Jackson, no crumbers front or back.
So many easily fixable structural setups.
Some players who are not soft, play soft because of non existent instructions. If instructions have been supplied and they still dont want to tackle, then why are they playing.
What are the tackle stats?? ( genuinely dont know)

but getting there. Crucial piece. Every team has a player like Erasmus in their B22. Liberatore isn’t exactly the fastest, nor the most skilled but he’s dog hungry and will get tackles and hurt the opposition. We need that, badly. My positives are:
NoD - he’s the real deal when fit. Cracked in all day & always looking to cut inside and head towards the goals. With him & Young it’s going to look a lot better through the middle.
Treacy - I was filthy when he bottled his first proper set shot but he made up for it.
Jackson - he’s so much better playing as a ruck & then chasing the ball on the ground. Signs of the stuff only he can do again. Other than resting forward occasionally he should be around the ball even when Darcy is playing (if he ever does).
Reid. - this kid should never play WAFL. I don’t care if everyone on the list is fit. He plays. Good things happen when he goes near it.
Pearce - notbut getting there. Crucial piece.
Johnson played another solid game. He will probably never be elite with his kicking but he can football and he cracks in.
Erasmus I don’t think is ever going to be anything like we hoped but he goes hard & tackles like a demon. I think his energy is overall a net positive & he may still settle into the pace of things at the level.
I’m not going to bother with negatives as they have all been covered repeatedly in the thread.
Yep, I said it immediately after the grand final, Erasmus needs to put a video of Dunkley on continuous 24/7 loop in his bedroom. Absolutely no reason why he can't aim to be that sort of playerEvery team has a player like Erasmus in their B22. You're not seriously comparing Erasmus to Tom Liberatore? Erasmus ceiling is probably Shane tuck and even that is generousEvery team has a player like Erasmus in their B22. Massively disagree.Nerves aren’t not wanting to be there
They went hard all game , effort wasn’t the problem .
A couple B/C graders blowing simple shit , some lacklustre coaching , a few momentum killer umpiring decisions and some inexperience killed us , not lack of effort.
Not comparing, just the styles. You're not seriously comparing Erasmus to Tom Liberatore? Erasmus ceiling is probably Shane tuck and even that is generous
Exactly. The perfect player. Dunkley isn’t necessarily flashy, fast or skilful but he can do a job to support Neale.Yep, I said it immediately after the grand final, Erasmus needs to put a video of Dunkley on continuous 24/7 loop in his bedroom. I completely agree, Erasmus can be a suban, de boer type. Not comparing, just the styles.
The midfield group is all flash and all, hardly grunt and tackle when the going gets tough.
Continuously players like Bailey Smith, Warner, Bontempelli, Merrett destroy this mix because it’s easy to attack and no accountability.
Fyfe Barlow Mundy etc all were supplemented by Suban, Crowley, De Boer. This group needs that
That’s fineMassively disagree.
I honestly don't know how you have that opinion, yet alone so strongly.Massively disagree.
Grumpy bastardSometimes it does. I often sit with my arms crossed when I am open, relaxed and happy.

Because I watched multiple instances of players not digging in, giving up on a chase half arsed or just ball watching?I honestly don't know how you have that opinion, yet alone so strongly.
Cox had the only weak effort of the game.
Newcombe is a damn good player. Honestly, I'd probably take him over Brayshaw, who I truly believe peaked a few years agoBolton, Jackson and Young should be more than enough flair supported by Serong and Brayshaw. Hawks have Day and thats it, or is Newcombe, Morrison and Nash keeping teams up at night.
I'm not buying it, it might not have a prime Fyfe or Bont but it's ****ing good. JL has them confused out of their minds at the moment.
He would end up the being the best kick in our team. You taking about Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera? At the time he wasn’t. Plus Erasmus is a WA based v SA. Gamble sometimes.
This team can be called the Half Backers with the amount on the list. Not sure what NWM would fix
Definite possibility. Hopefully that plays out towards the second half of the season and we come home with a wet sail. Nothing else makes sense.Does anybody else think we might have cooked the players in pre-season? I look at Andy who said himself he had a full preseason. He hasn't taken any knocks I don't think, so why does it look like he's running in quicksand?
There are probably others, but he is the one that stands out to me.

Except I dont think they were a pick 10 in the draft, we should have done a lot better. Soligo was pick 36 in that draft.I completely agree, Erasmus can be a suban, de boer type.
Have a look at Hawks size and height in the midfield.Newcombe is a damn good player. Honestly, I'd probably take him over Brayshaw, who I truly believe peaked a few years ago
Meh, I don't buy the Soligo hype at all. Good player, but far from the gun people make him out to be. Had a purple patch, so people are overrating himExcept I dont think they were a pick 10 in the draft, we should have done a lot better. Soligo was pick 36 in that draft.
