I actually thought Nathan O'Driscoll had a nice left foot. There was a thread about it.

Sharp is a semi decent kick.

I can't say Frederick is a bad kick of he is capable of kicking 30 goals a season

Treacy a good kick to a leading forward? Maybe.

But I rather him in the forward 50 taking set shots in goal. 4 goals and 1 behind from 5 shots was good on the weekend

Sharp is a bang on average kick that very rarely lowers his eyes.

Treacy is a wonderful field kick. I wouldn't be surprised if he set up a decent chunk of Amiss' goals last season

Agree, I think the point highlights how bad the mids are at kicking to a leading forward.

That is roughly how I see it (only quickly thought about it), but you could easy have Treacy up higher.

We play with 5 forwards most of the match. Hard to pressure 2 players at once.

Playing 5 forwards isn't a bad thing. We had Voss, Amiss, Tracey, Frederick, Bolton and a rotating mid.

Freo has to play this weekend and had our spare rotation taken half way through the game as opposed to the swans not needing to be able to get up for this week and bringing on their run late in the game.

And have no idea how to shut down in close games like yesterday.Look at Sydney, they locked the ball in out forward line with stoppages in the last minute and a half.Never usually worry about the coach,,, but.......

We usually trail at quarter time or have slow starts. Dockers kicks 4.4.28 to swans 5 behinds in that 1st quarter.

It's not the loss that was the issue, it's how we lost.

Dockers kicked 5 goals and 6 points after quarter time, swans kicked 9 goals and 8 behinds after quarter time.

Anyone who watches this team knew they would get overrun in the last qtr. It was very predictable. Something is broken and the negative defensive mindset from the coach isn't helping.

We can't win regardless. Most of our 2023 and 2024 games we always trailed in the 1st quarter

Our players are too hesitant to take the game on at times, they just stop and look around like headless chicken waiting for something to happen.

The negative mindset is the problem. They need to play the entire game disregarding the scoreboard. The only time you should be trying to save the game or defend a lead is when you're up with a few minutes to go. Not with 15 minutes left. We need more dare to win and less scared to lose. I reckon the skills will improve if the boys were freed up and playing with less fear.

On the Jackson not getting back point, I noticed for quite a bit of the second half that he wouldn't get forward either. There is always a ruckman on the line when a shot is being taken and I remember thinking multiple times "where the hell is Jackson?". I don't know if he was gassed or not but he seemed to just want to stay between the arcs except when he was resting forward.

I wondered the same thing about that last goal when I was watching the replay of the final minutes. Cox could have done better but he was just pushed off balance at the critical moment and took the L in a 1 v 1.

Pearce was ahead of that contest as well covering a much smaller player and looking like he was giving instructions. Maybe too many messages happening to take it all in when your brain is fried running around in the heat for 2 hours.

It looked like Amartey was the only tall to kick to. Maybe the controlling umpire was too stuffed to call Rowbottom to move it on if took it 14 seconds from Heeney's kick. Take about 2 seconds off for that. Was Rowbottom in that grey area distance where he gets 30 seconds for a shot on goal or should he get the 7 seconds that umps are supposed to give.
