Brisbane vs St.Kilda - 30 points
Richmond vs Sydney - 72 points
Geelong vs Carlton - 6 points
West Coast vs Collingwood - 48 points
Port Adelaide vs Kangaroos - 12 points
W.B vs Adelaide - 60 points
Essendon vs Fremantle - 12 points
Hawthorn vs Melbourne - 4 points

Now there`s a reason for all you vics to be happy this weekend - This chap is supporting Collingwood.

Awesome :thumbsu:

Mate most of Vic will want the Pies to get belted, trust me.

For those of you tipping Freo against Essendon at the TD, consider that they have only ever beaten us in Melbourne once (1997 at Waverly)

Brisbane Lions vs. St Kilda - I'm impressed by the Lions' long-range goal kicking accuracy. I think they'll kick at least 3 from beyond 50m in round 2.
Richmond vs. Sydney - Swans by plenty.
Geelong vs. Carlton - The Blues are steadily improving.
West Coast vs. Collingwood - Eagles by 25.
Port Adelaide vs. Kangaroos - I predicted that the Power would return to the top 4 this year, and this match will be another step in that direction for them.
Essendon vs. Fremantle - Dockers will bounce back.
Western Bulldogs vs. Adelaide - Bulldogs by 10.
Hawthorn vs. Melbourne - Will be the lowest scoring match of the round.

... Port Adelaide vs Kangaroos- Kangas were unlucky last round. Port were impressive. For the simple fact that the roos have a good record against port and have beaten port at AAMI probably more than any other vic team, tipping Kangaroos by less than a goal.
...
Actually 11 of thew 16 games have been played away from Adelaide.
That includes 6 of the first 7 games
Has balanced out since then.

However yes of the 5 games played in Adelaide you have a 3-2 record and that is the only -ve one we have IIRC.

Nailed six tips last week with Freo and Melbourne letting me down here goes,

Brisbane Lions vs. St Kilda - Saints in a close one.
Richmond vs. Sydney - Swannies far too much class.
Geelong vs.Carlton - Blues may be far too quick.
West Coast vs. Collingwood - Simple Subi!! One goal in a half last week may be a bit of concern for West Coast and the Pies do go ok over here.
Port Adelaide vs. Kangaroos - Port.
Essendon vs. Fremantle - Could be game of the round Freo just.
Western Bulldogs vs. Adelaide - Dogs should smash em!
Hawthorn vs. Melbourne - Demons to bounce back.

folk from victoria, u should all be happy.. this is the only game of the yr that i support collingwood
go the pies i want u to teach those drug runners a lesson

Concentrate on beating Essendon away young fella.

Leave us Crackheads alone. :thumbsu:

Brisbane Lions v St Kilda (16 pts) - May be a bit of a surprise but the lions looked not special, but very solid last week and are playing their ground like they did in the old days. If their midfield gets on top they will win

Richmond v Sydney (26 pts) - The swannies have the wood on the tigers and should get over the line at the G which has been a happy hunting ground for them lately, the tigers will probably get going a bit later on just like last year

Geelong v Carlton (5 pts) - This looks like being a very close game with the young enthusiatic blues getting off to a good start. However they might come back to earth against a potential top 8 contender, but it could go either way

West Coast v Collingwood (36 pts) - The pies dont look like theyre playing good enough football just yet to be able to topple the premiers at Subi, I would think this would be the safe bet of the round

Port Adelaide v Kangaroos (7 pts) - I am tipping this game to very close with the Roos showing they are no wooden spooner at this stage and at AAMI where they play ok this looks like a close one

Essendon v Fremantle (13 pts) - Crunch game for Freo, if they want to be a top 4 contender this year they can't drop 2 games in a row. However against a rejuvanted Essendon this will be a tough game and they will need to play their best to come away with the points, which I think they will

Western Bulldogs v Adelaide (22 pts) - The crows were very disappointing last week, however they have proved they are a top side based on the first half of last year. If this game turns sour the game could get ugly for the crows but if they play to the level they set last year they will be in with a chance

Hawthorn v Melbourne (25 pts) - The smokey for the weekend. Put money on this right now. The hawks will turn it around from the crap they displayed at the Gabba last week where they generally play terribly. The demons are looking shaky after injuries to key players and loss of form, the hawks look like they can pinch this on Easter Monday.

I reckon if we can get reid and egan into our side this week,we may upset the eagles. What a lot of people do not realise that we have beaten them before.

Good point.

I mean your last win against us at Subi was in a premiership year. Admittedly it was 1992!!!!!!!

14 June 1992 by 1 point.

I'd be hanging my hat on that!

:D

Brisbane Lions vs. St Kilda
Richmond vs. Sydney
Geelong vs. Carlton
West Coast vs. Collingwood
Port Adelaide vs. Kangaroos
Essendon vs. Fremantle
Western Bulldogs vs. Adelaide
Hawthorn vs. Melbourne

nice picks
I however disagree...
I narrowly missed out on 6 picks last weekend if it werent for the eagles, so here is mine.

StKilda by 23
Sydney by 89
Carlton by 13
Eagles by 35
Power by 17
Essendon by 12
Dogs by 40
Demons by 5

saints to beat lions
sydney to thump tigers
carlton just over cats
wce to kill pies
port with a good win over roos
essendon to beat freo
doggies win over crows
melb should beat hawks

hooray not one person has tipped the pies :D
but id have to agree we're gonna get thumped :(

Brisbane by 14 points over the Saints - Saints losing Maguire again makes it easier for Brown to own the match
Sydney by 20 points over the Tiger Army - Nice way to bounce back from a loss
Carlton by 30 points over the Handbags - for the Sleepy Hollow mob to go anywhere, Ottens must be sacked
West Coast by 20 points over the Pies - too strong at home.
Port by 25 points over the Roos - against the winning trend the Roos have over Port
Essendon by 15 points over the Shockers - just what Freo didn't need after a shock home loss - a trip to Melbourne and playing a team that dominates them over here
Bulldogs by 15 points over the Cows - need to make use of their strengths.
Hawks by a point over the Dees - will go either way - almost impossible to pick a winner.

Means that Brisbane, Carlton, Essendon, Footscray, Port and the Eagles would be undefeated after 2 weeks whilst Melbourne, Adelaide, Geelong, Richmond, Fremantle and North yet to record a win.

Mate most of Vic will want the Pies to get belted, trust me.

For those of you tipping Freo against Essendon at the TD, consider that they have only ever beaten us in Melbourne once (1997 at Waverly)
And never at the Telstra Dome :thumbsu:

Saints comfortably
Swans as above
Blues cats are flat
Eagles no explanation required
Port just better than Kangas
Freo as above re Bombers
Dogs crows look terrible
Dees will need to improve a bit though

And never at the Telstra Dome :thumbsu:

Yes, but when was the last time you played them there? They've impoved quite a bit(don't let last week fool you).

I think Essendon are in with a chance, but I pick Freo to win by 20.

Eagles by 40
Sydney by 80
Kangeroos by 10
Brisbane by 6
Bulldogs by 18
Geelong by 25
Melbourne by 16

Don't believe all the hype regarding Essendon - our supporters were boasting about our chances after a Round 1 victory last year and got majorly carried away, some fantastic signs for the future on Sunday but we still have a LONG way to go...

If Fremantle are serious about this year, they should win this one.

Brisbane Lions vs. St Kilda
Richmond vs. Sydney
Geelong vs. Carlton
West Coast vs. Collingwood
Port Adelaide vs. Kangaroos
Essendon vs. Fremantle
Western Bulldogs vs. Adelaide
Hawthorn vs. Melbourne

Brisbane vs St.Kilda- by less than 2 goals. Brisbane will find it hard to break down St.Kildas defence enough to kick a winning score.

Richmond vs Sydney- Sydney will bounce back

Geelong vs Carlton- Something is different about the blues this year. Carlton might sneak home in a thriller

West Coast vs Collingwood- Collingwood might stick with them early on, but it will end in a blow out

Port Adelaide vs Kangaroos- Kangas were unlucky last round. Port were impressive. For the simple fact that the roos have a good record against port and have beaten port at AAMI probably more than any other vic team, tipping Kangaroos by less than a goal.

Essendon vs Fremantle- toss of the coin. Probably how I am gonna approach any Freo game this year lol:confused:

Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide- going on round 1s performances, dogs could win this by 10+ goals

Hawthorn vs Melbourne- surely Melbourne wont play like they did last week against the Hawks? :o

Collingwood and Geelong might have somthing to say about that. As far as i know Kangaroos have only beaten us at AAMI 2 or 3 times.

Brisbane Vs St Kilda - St Kilda by 32 Points.
Richmond Vs Sydney - Sydney by 20 Points.
Geelong Vs Carlton - Geelong by 27 Points.
West Coast Vs Collingwood - West Coast by 12 Points.
Port Adelaide Vs Kangaroos - Port Adelaide by 22 Points.
Essendon Vs Fremantle - Essendon by 4 Points.
Bulldogs Vs Adelaide - Bulldogs by 30 Points
Hawthorn Vs Melbourne - Melbourne by 40 Points.
