Here is the preview for Round 2 of 2010 season

SATURDAY
North Ballarat(1-0 5th) vs Northern Bullants(1-0 3rd) at Eureka Stadium 1:10pm(ABC1TV)
(Curtain Raiser Reserves game starts at 10:10am)
Last time they met: 2009 Grand Final at Etihad Stadium North Ballarat 14-7(91) def Northern Bullants 10-8(68)
This is the rematch of last years Grand Finallists. North Ballarat will go in as slight favorites even though both sides are coming off opening round wins. Northern Bullants have a good record at Eureka Stadium. This should be a great game.

Gold Coast(0-1 8th) vs Williamstown(1-0 4th) at Merrimac Oval,Broadbeach 2pm
1st meeting between these 2 sides
The Gold Coast got off to a slow start last week but by half time managed to level up with the Borough from there it was a tight struggle and only going down by 2 goals but will be better off for the run. This week they came up against Williamstown who had a great game against Collingwood and are good form. This is a tougher assignment for the Gold Coast. Willy to win this but it will be closer than you think.

SUNDAY
Geelong(0-1 9th) vs Box Hill Hawks(1-0 1st) at Skilled Stadium 10:10am
(This game is curtain raiser to the Geelong vs Port Adelaide AFL Match)
Last time they met: 2009 1st Elimination Final at TEAC Oval Box Hill Hawks 17-19(121) def Geelong 13-9(87)
Box Hill smashed Werribee at home while Geelong lost narrowly to Casey under lights at Casey Fields. Another interesting match as the Cats play their home ground well and with it being a curtain raiser there will be plenty of support Cats. Box Hill through are in great from and with the possible return to football of Shuan Burgoyne this weekend adds more interest to this game.

Casey Scorpions(1-0 6th) vs Collingwood(0-1 11th) at Casey Fields 2pm
(Reserves curtain raiser Casey Scorpions vs Williamstown starts at 11am)
Last time they met: 2009 2nd Elimination Final at TEAC Oval. Collingwood 26-21(177) def Casey Scorpions 9-8(62).
Casey had a good win over Geelong last week while the Pies gave the Seagulls a scare last week after a slow start. Casey will be up for this game after a poor showing the last time these 2 sides met in the finals last year. Look for this to be a much tighter match.

Frankston(0-1 13th) vs Coburg Tigers(0-1 10th) at Frankston 2pm
(Reserves game curtain raiser starts at 11am)
Last time they met: 2009 R1 at Coburg. Coburg Tigers 18-11(119) def Frankston 16-8(104).
Coburg had a good start against the Roosters last week before faulting in the second half. Frankston also had a good first 2 and a half quarters before the Zebras got on top of them at Frankston. Coburg will be favorites but Frankston with such a young group will get better as the season goes on.

Bendigo Bombers(0-1 12th) vs Port Melbourne(1-0 7th) at Queen Elizabeth Oval,Bendigo 2pm
Last time they met:2009 R14 at TEAC Oval. Port Melbourne 12-16(88) def Bendigo Bombers 10-15(75).
This is the Borough's true test. How will they react after playing on the Gold Coast only to be travelling to Bendigo this week. It was a good win though for the Borough at Southport last week while the Bombers hang tough with the Bullants for 3 quarters only to be blown away in the last quarter. Is this the time the Bomber's can break their 25 game losing streak(Last win R14 2008 vs Nth Bull at home).

Sandringham(1-0 2nd) vs Werribee(0-1 14th) at Trevor Barker Oval,Sandringham 2pm
(Reserves curtain raiser starts at 11am)
Last time they met: 2009 R6 at Werribee. Sandringham 17-11(113) def Werribee 12-11(83).
Sandringham had a tough game with Dolphins before pulling away in the last quarter while Werribee were never in the hunt against Box Hill Hawks. Sandringham should win this game especially at home.

Other Reserves game this weekend
