some shit rookie > Cameron last night to cover Naismith being a shit truck

that Xerri kangaroos bloke who I had to move fwd to fit Cameron in > some rivers bloke purely because he fits team structure and price I don't know hopefully he's not a key back or something

some bulldogs rookie who scored like 20 in Round 1 > Bennell for the 15 minutes that he plays before the hamstring goes twang

some bloke who got himself suspended over covid shit (not my team's dumb vice captain) > Tom Doodoo who admittedly will probably get 200 because Ken Hinkley won't bother to do anything to all the crows chipping around half back.

Season already shaping to be as flat as my friday nights have been.

Missed Howe. Spewing.
Bont-Viney
Brayshaw-Chad. Watch Brayshaw ton it up today.
B Smith-Stewart. Tick.
Margaret-Doedee.

Looping Starcevich and Brander. If Starcevich fails I’ll trade O’Conner to Rivers. If he goes 60+ I’ll trade Carrera, swing Brander fwd, grab Rivers, And chuck O’Conner on the field.

What's the go with Bewley?

I have the option of bringing him in (for BZT).. But that would mean he would sit as my F4... ?

Thoughts?

I don't trust him. No guarantee to still be in the side in a month's time as Freo start to get more players back.

Hey guys,

Would really appreciate some advice.

Would it be worth sideways trading Nic Nat to Sauce, if it meant freeing up money to do Tom Green to Viney?

Will leave me with the following team, with the plan to trade maybe trade Noble\starcevich to Dodee next week.

Trades are done...

Roberton > Doedee
Bezerker > Rivers
Green > Bennell
Sprayshaw > Rozee
Bont > Neale

Gives me 26 playing, next week Davis > Vandermeer, Cavarra > Cameron.

I think I'm doing something a bit cray cray today but gotta go with my gut. Currently ranked 3457
and 5/453. Could make or break my season.

Was going to go BZK to Doedee but will pass which means I'll cop Noble's score and whatever
Brander and Rivers throw up. Was also going to go Cavarra to Long, but will
take whatever C.Taylor and M King score. Kicked Houston to bring in Howe and Roberton to T.Brown (E) already.

Today, instead of Green to Bennell and Cavarra to Long, or possibly Bont to Viney, I'm going
Rowell to Bennell,
NicNat to Gawn
Oliver to Neale.
Leaves me with about $5000.

I know it's madness, but Rowell is expensive and won't make that much $ imo. IF Bennell stays fit he'll moo a lot more.
Had Grundy VC, can't take that score and only other legit C options I had were Cripps, Macrae or Doch.
I feel Gawn will monster today, and has a pretty cruisy run of games, so chucking the C on him.
Oliver I don't really trust anymore and could just afford to swap him to Neale.

Pray for me, may the SC Gods be merciful.

Can’t decide between bringing in Berry or McHenry for Cavarra. Who has the better job security?

I'm kind of surprised so many people either started with Rozee or are trading him in.

He's a great young player, don't get me wrong, he'll probably be one of the elites in a couple of years.

But I personally wouldn't pay 422K for a second year player under any circumstances.

He may be the rarest of exceptions, but players do not tend to break out in their second year.

I'll probably start with him next year, watch with interest in 2020

I’d guess McHenry as he has Stengles spot for at least a few weeks. Adelaide have been open about wanting to play McHenry and he was very close to a round 1 spot.

Cheers.
I like it. Different way of getting Viney in to the usual downgrade a premium.

this. I just can’t pull the trigger on him.

Coward.

Intercept marks it was that got him there.

He won't get that many each week, but will still find the footy in his area often enough to score well.

I'm hoping for an 85-90 ave at his pricepoint, but it'll be more like an 80 in the end.

Still trying to work out if Viney is a trap or a legit pick.

If he goes back to being normal Viney, he isn't a keeper so it's all about
cash generation. But how much does he need to make to consider it a win?

It's a hard one.

Im stuck on my last trade. 3 trades already and im holding off on English at R2 to Jacobs. I think English is going to have a breakout season, but Jacobs is a proven scorer and frees up cash...

the only thing convincing me to do it is the trades for this round. If i only had 2 i wouldnt be doing the sideways trade...

Cheers guys.

Was tempted to do Bont to Viney but after trading in Chad (albeit for Brayshaw) last night and see him score poorly really put me off trading a premo (which I'd have to bring back in anyways eventually) to an unknown like Viney, but need the cash gen and I feel he is a must have for that reason.

Thanks again guys.

On Long - I went to watch the Marsh series game between Collingwood and St Kilda in Morwell.

He stood out like the proverbial canine's testicles.

It's the role he's been given. Forward pocket recast as a counter-attacking half-back flanker. Shades of Neon Leon.

I looked him up when I got home and when I saw that he cost less than 300K, I literally salivated.

In Round 1 he was killing it in the first quarter and then injured his foot taking an absolute speccy in the second and I was like, "Why does this always happen to my PODs?"

When he came back out it was a godsend. When he got to 118 it was like a miracle.

He ought to be the most traded in player of the round. In my opinion, only injury will prevent him from being an absolute bargain.

Sorry probably could have worded it better. Who do you think is needed more to suit their team needs at the moment? Haven’t seen either of them play (did they play in JLT?)

Adelaide could really use some outside pace and clean disposal in the mids, so I'd say McHenry has the skill-set that Adelaide really need right now.

Berry, I don't know anything about him other that he's Jarrod's little brother, but keep in mind Brisbane have Devon Robertson who was dropped for this game who the coach apparently really likes who was a gun Jnr, as well as a bunch of other talented youngsters and best 22 type players currently out of the side. Witherden, CEY, Answerth, Adams, Christensen, Mathieson, Skinner, Ely smith. Young Berry would probably be one of the first to make way for most of those players.

Yep.

If you're not Long, you're coming up short :thumbsu:
