I can't just say 'oh well I missed them' while other people make 300k and I make 100k off McCarthy/Milera in the same time. I'll never catch up. Money is too important. I don't think 3 corrective trades is over the top. It's also more of a safety net than a guarantee that I'll trade them in, I just want the option so I'm not in a bind next week.



No, like I said it's a just in case scenario. I want the option to at least be there. He might score 30, he might score 120. But I'd rather use one trade there now and know that I can bring in anyone on the bubble I need to.

the only trade id consider is B Crouch--> weitering via petracca(into mids) via tippa (into forwards)
Mills would come onto the ground. opens up 2 dpp lines. i currently have none. it would make petraccas dohnut move. leaves me with 109k in the kitty.

or do nothing. and play dea in the back line. Mills down to 1st emergency. 0 dpp lines.
im still thinking no trades.

THIS week, that trade is just chasing points.

NEXT week it's a sensible correction.

The correction + opening up DPP is worthwhile but I'd wait if you don't have other corrections planned for the following week.

Pendles and Rockliff are on my watch list for this week, especially Pendles. With Parker blitzing it.

If they show bad signs this week I may change one of them, probably Pendles. If Pendles has another sub 100 game, it could be about a $100k net change for both players. Pendles -$40k, Parker +$50k, they will be around the same price.

So going Pendles > Parker will net me the $90k in the bank, and have a player of same value.


Barlow is the other. Rather than taking the hit on him in Rnd 3 if he has another bad week, I may even trade Papley in for him, net the $400k, plus Papley's +$75K increase, and Barlow's -$25k loss

Rnd 3 possibly would see:

Pendles > Parker
Barlow > Papley

Net cash position: +$680k (+$190k in player changes)
Salary Cap in bank: $490k + one of the better cows. Would enable me to nearly finish my midfield by Rnd 5-6. Or trade Barlow back in mid season when Papley has peaked for a net return of around $350k+

I'm having serious concerns about Fyfe and Barlow. I really don't rate Freo, I don't believe they'll make the top 8 and I'm not sure if Fyfe is 100% fit.

Am considering Fyfe > Libba since I already have Danger,Priddis, Ablett, Rockliff as my mid premos. And considering Barlow > Josh Kennedy since I think West Coast will have a killer year and he should win the Coleman comfortably. I know it's only round 1 and I hate the idea of burning 2 trades already but if they spud it up again I'm going to have to trade them next week anyway, which means I could miss out on trading out an injury or upgrading a rookie once prices change.

I couldn't say no to trading in Johannisen and Hall for Seedsman and Robinson (don't ask me why I didn't do that in the first place).

The two of them are players that should be in my team at the end of the season, so had to bite the bullet.
