Round 2 trades

Looks like Kreuzer should have another good week then. I have done the Zorko --> Kennedy Trade and have gone Currie --> Kreuzer. If Kreuzer has another great week Ill start to think of him as a keeper and if his performance is average ill have a week to see how the burger goes to be a possible swap and money maker on the bubble.

I have two players in my side that wont be playing this week (Longer, Docherty), and I'm considering a couple of options. Should I:

1. Straight swap Longer for Leuenberger, and swap Docherty for Terlich (0 Players not playing); or
2. Move Cox to the ruck, Rowe to forward bench. Cash Longer in for cheapest rookie likely to play (Daw currently on extended interchange looks most likely), and swap Docherty for Terlich, with an extra $133,000 spare for R3 trades (0-1 Players not playing); or
3. Move Cox to the ruck, Rowe to forward bench. Cash Longer in for cheapest rookie likely to play, and spend the extra $133,000 on upgrading field players such as Fyfe for Swallow/Pendles or strengthening a 3-1-4 Forward line (1-2 Players not playing)?

I haven't played DT in a couple of years, and the difficulty I'm having is deciding how much of an emphasis to place on getting points on the board early on versus ensuring all players are accumulating points (for injury coverage, and increasing team value).

Thanks for any responses :)

Go Kennedy.

For me

A Gwilt and S Selwood for Terlich and Ablett (Ablett would not be captain anyway)
B Gwilt and S Selwood for Mundy and Geary
C Gwilt and Mcevoy for Geary and Luenberger
D Gwilt for Terlich (cannot afford Geary, Give Scooter and Big Boy another chance)

Any Thoughts???? I think I like option 2 for the price and possible break evens come round 3.

A or B imo, though not sure on Geary's role staying like last week

Am considering something similar myself. Have 890k for any def/mid combo (not including Goddrard, Gibbs, Pendles, Stanton, JPK, Greene)

For me is between:

Terlich and Ablett (bank the change)
Mundy and Hartlett, OR
Geary/O'Brien and J.Selwood/Mitchell

Yeah I considered Hartlett but looking at my back line with 4 port players was just too much. I think injury free he is the most likely guy out of geary and obrien to be a top 6-8 defender.

Option 3 for me, give Leuenberger a week to see how he scores, and use the cash to upgrade where u need to

Hey guys, what do you reckon of JJ Kennedy's scoring ability as a replacement for LeCras? Matt Wright may be a better option but he only scored a handful of points more than Kennedy and is way more expensive. Plus McPharlin is a way better defender than Schoenmakers, who'll likely line up on Kennedy.

I did consider banking money. Would seem like a waste doing Mcevoy to Luey this week. Could do that next week without a price change and give me a chance to see Luey. Although the fact that Longer is not also named does give me more confidence in Luey.

McEvoy looked horribly slow last week...I've gone straight to the burger

With Leuenberger named, I've gone Smith to Burger and upgraded Bolton to Wright.

This has freed up a little more cash than my original plan. I'm hoping that Macaffer, Lucas, Heath and Blicav's are all named, otherwise I'm already starting to run out of rookie emergencies - which would be annoying.

Possible a stupid question here but Dwyer is named in the forward pocket for the Pies this w.e, does that mean he has 0 chance of being named sub? Or can he still be named on the interchange/sub on gameday?

embley was named on the wing in round one - it didnt stop him from copping the vest

It does pretty much mean that he won't start as the sub. Nothing stops him getting the red vest though.

I am just trying to fix my rookies, I currently have Whitfield and K. Mitchell. both are on my bench. Which should I trade to Jones this week?

Not necessarily true, Embley was named on the wing last week, he got the green vest.

Mitchell is a big chance of copping the vest again before he hits the bubble. If money isn't an issue I would go Mitchell.

Robinson to Kennedy.
Selwood to Barlow. Went Barlow because my main league is a finals one and Freo have an easy last 4 games.

Gives me a little cash to play with next week - $214,500. Don't like that much cash doing nothing but got a couple of problems that need fixing the next week and having some extra cash gives me plenty of options. Vlaustin then Embley or Lucas are in the firing line.

I chose to have Magner in my side for Round 1 not realising he was not playing. Swapped Magner for Wines. Broughton was my only injury this week, so gave him up for Terlich.

$479,300 in the bank, if Danger doesn't improve over the next few rounds the cash will be spent on adding Ablett to my side (if he is in form still). Will obviously focus on injuries/not playing first.

So youre one of the 40% of people without Goodes
How did you not have him already?!?! o_O

Good armstrong trade

Although cant you upgrade lecras to a semi premium with the cash from the armstrong downgrade???
Matty wright is calling

I mentioned it in the gameday thread, I could swear I had Goodes because I'd been planning to put him in. It's basically a wasted trade but at least he's in now.
