Round 2 trades

Yeh, hopefully it will be one of those 'good' mistakes. (Fyfe) I had him last year and he was great right up until his shoulder fell off (again)

I'm starting to doubt my man Danger though. :( Will give him another week to redeem himself...

(avatar is of Gingy from the Shrek movies) no fantapants here.

the Rumours of a late out for Dangerfield may have had a bit more in it than first thought, i'm guessing the ribs were not 100%, another two weeks they'll be good to go. Dangerfield on sale in round 4-5.

On my own personal cheat sheet I had Dangerfield and Goddard ranked as slightly expensive (given the preseason). Nevertheless, I still went with both on a benefit of the doubt for quality player movement. I'll give serious consideration to trading out both for round 2, pocket a large amount of cash in the process then buy them back at cheaper prices if the opportunity presents.

LOL watch him smash it in the next 2 games and go up in price. Low rnd 1 score and everyone stays off him then is very expensive after..... Footy gods are vengeful.

For those with Danger why not Danger-SJ, you've got 2 free trades to use this week anyway and can save yourself from the price drop. I'll be doing the same with any of my prems that have a terrible night.

As for Goddard I'll watch for another 2/3 rounds too see how much mid field time he's getting.

If it was just that easy, Danger would have got tagged out of it every game last year. Not just in the pies game.

When he is on song he scores well.
Dangerfield is a gun. Watching last night the Bombers were physical with him all night and gave him no respite at all. If he's nursing sore ribs, it's easier to trade him out now and watch how he responds moving forward.

It's interesting. The two guys I debated the most were Dangerfield (ahead of J.Selwood) and Goddard (ahead of J.Grimes/G.Birchall). Both were pretty ordinary last night. That's Round 1 for you!

My point was after a poor start last season he came good and averaged over 100 for the season.

Yes but my point is with so many trades you can afford to trades players in and out of your team. I.e Trade Franklin when hawks have a tough draw, bring him back when they have easier draw etc. So im thinking, trade Dangerfield out now, until he proves he can break a tag, then once he shows enough i bring him back. But by trading him out now i avoid his massive price drop and can pick up a performing mid in his place....that is worth it IMO, especially this year when it is all about generating as much cash as possible.

Get my point?

Some early panicking going on! Remember rd1 scores will only count for 1 price cycle. You have to balance that fact with the fact that after round 2 you'll only have 2 trades and mostly likely want 3/4

You are of course correct. Merely a late night drunken knee jerk reaction on my part wanting to trade Danger ASAP. I traded him in last year even after he had a poor start (before Rd5 IIRC) and he averaged 112 for the 17 rounds that I had him in my team...is the main reason I selected him this year, so will stick fat for at least another week. But another 50 score though, I'll have no choice but to trade him out for the short term at least...

Without knowing what an average score is for a 2013 H&A game there's no point in thinking about trading out anybody from last night's game.

Seemed to me like it was a fast enough game but the scoring didn't seem to really explode.

Some players were all around the footy just not touching it. Stants was incredible but he always starts the season well, no 190+ score though.

Yer ill probs give him one more week....that way i can still trade him and not lose any cash (if he does shit again that is). Can't see how i'll use 2 trades this week though. Guess i'll wait for the end of the round.
