You are going to jinx Kreuzer. Maric ended up on 77 which isn't that bad, no guarantee Kreuzer will beat it.
That's what this is for.

If I had Danger........ After doing months of agonising research on what the make up of my team would be, I think I'd trade him to some randon nufty
Libba is far from a random nufty. Averaged over 20 disposals per game and had the sixth highest contested possession rate of every player in the AFL who averaged over 20 disposals. Averaged the 14th most clearances of any player in the AFL and converted around 90% of his stoppage first possessions into clearances. I could go on. Looking past the stats, his vision is superb and is the type of inside mid you definitely want with the ball 9 times out of 10 (unlike Boyd). Anybody who doesn't rate him as an up-and-coming midfielder (and fantasy option) just doesn't watch enough football, and/or buys into the media hype of, "Omg he plays for the Bulldogs and must be shit."

from a team I support
What on Earth does this have to do with anything? Am I to assume you've never had a Richmond player in your side?

who's fluked a reasonable score for a change
Err...alrighty. As a 19 year old last year he scored four >100s, three 90-100s and four 75-90s in 17 games. 11/17 games he scored over 75 points in an incompetent team as a 19 year old with limited game time. His average was dragged down by some poor scores in matches where he struggled to get into it, which isn't unusual for a bloke in his second year. Your comment is just wrong.

as I think that seems like a more than valid reason to trade him out.
Are you even reading my posts?

The trade is not ideal, I admit that. I messed up not putting Cox in the rucks and I was forced to fix this by trading out a rookie ruckman and replacing Cox in the forward line... but past Dwyer, Macaffer and Neade, who are all already in my side (one starting, others on bench), there are few rookie forward options. Thus, a 200k+ player is a good idea. The viable options from 200-300k are Byrnes (not sure on JS and SP nothing special), Varcoe (his role atm doesn't have much SP), Karnezis (already have), Petterd (wasn't sure on his SP/JS, did alright tonight though), Vickery (last week was clearly a one-off)...etc. JJK has the best SP for his price. With ~47k already in the bank, I needed another ~120k. Dangerfield, last round, struggled with a tag - something the top fantasy midfielders very rarely do. He also showed throughout the game that he's not selfish; he'll block for and protect teammates like Sloane, Thompson etc and sacrifice his own stats as long as it helps the team. This reflects poorly in DT, and thus I have little faith in his consistent scoring after seeing that. Out of the players who could get me the amount of cash required for the JJK upgrade, he was the one I had the biggest long-term concern about. In addition, he's almost certain to lose cash in two rounds' time, and avoiding these price drops is now a key with the added trades. Out of the players in the price range that would give me the cash for the JJK upgrade, Libba is most likely to a) have a breakout season, b) score consistently, and c) earn cash very quickly. I went to the match on Saturday and it showed that the coach wants the ball in the hands of Libba distributing from the midfield and into the forward line when free; every single player on the field was looking for him. DT gold. Thus I made the decision to give him a try.

However, after thinking about it a little more, and asking people who have a brain for this game on this forum.
For starters, not once did I ask for help. I posted my trades here and proceeded to get accused of being a "fan boy". Secondly, I can think for myself thanks.

I'm sure they'd tell me that he'll be a top 10 mid this year and that might not be a wise decision.

Somebody had posted stats a while back that showed that, last year, these sorts of midfield picks (ie. similar price, similar potential for increase etc.) were actually the most valuable in the long run. It's a risk, but a calculated one imo. If he makes me money (along with JJK) and scores well in the process, he's performed admirably. If Danger starts shredding out some huge scores, I'll pick him up after his price drop and after making money through other picks.

Since you apparently know what players are going to work out and which aren't before the season even really begins, I assume you're ranked top ten every year, but I don't care if you disagree with my trade. I'm in this to have fun, and I have more fun making picks that are different than I do copying everybody else. I enjoy calculating risk and, although it occasionally causes headaches, I love it all the same. I don't want to sit there and do the stock standard thing. That's boring and although I was doing well last year going by that, I wasn't enjoying it. My ranking slipped when I started speculating on lots of trades and targets, but I enjoyed it much more. I'm on this board to discuss the game that is Dream Team and have a bit of fun, not to be criticised by random people who occasionally come on to take pot shots at trades they don't agree with.

Scored 2032 the first week, so beyond Danger and Zorko's scores there was nothing too extraordinary to worry about and I want to give them both one more week before I pull the trigger mainly because I'm sceptical about the value of Danger's potential replacements (Swallow, J. Selwood, Ebert and Barlow though Mitchell is a smokey) and I already know if Zorko dogs it this week, Rocky's the automatic in.

With that in mind, this week's trades were sideways bench trades about consolidating structure and moving to better placed rookies.

Bench Trade
Daw -> Rowe - With Appendicitis, Hampson's not going to play for 2-3 weeks so that means Rowe should get 2-4 games at least (If Casboult keeps his form up he's no certainty to stay in when Hampson's ready), enough to make some cash and allow me to put him on the field instead of Blicavs (Preserving my 1 gun, 2 rooks, 1 nuffie strategy for the year).
Crouch -> K. Mitchell - I have a feeling Mitchell's going to be a consistent vest this year and with Kommer my other reserve being guaranteed game time I'm taking a calculated risk that Crouch is better value for my buck. I'm unsure about this but he's on my bench and he's freed up $10k for the more serious trades that will be taking place from next week.

Dan, you shouldn't get so offended by things like this.
Not offended, just a little bit sick of it. No need to come into a discussion forum filled with people enjoying themselves and criticise random peoples' intelligence and trades.

Ended up going Zorko -> Leuenberger and Lucas -> O'Keefe

The Zorko trade is very much a shortsighted one but I want O'Keefe or the next 2 rounds at least. There is every chance I will get Zorko again and it may even be next week against GC
