Just shows that umpires can influence a game. Richmond were far the better team and should have won comfortably by at least 5 goals. Colina doesn't play and it's a 10 goal win, he really is atrocious, reminds me of Richard Lounder on a bad day. Seriously the umpiring has to be investigated, centre bounce non-recalls, obvious free kicks (to us) missed, overly officious calls are just the beginning. For mine Gray, El-nor were among the best, Wilson, McCauliffe pivotal to the win. Get a half decent ruckman and Richmond are at least a 3 to 4 goal better team than what we saw today.

Flockhart & Toner on the wings, very early days for them, but they are not at this level yet.
Colina was way over-penalised, ignore that, their ruck Boyd caused that, he drew false frees from any player who went near him. Pathetic umpiring to fall for that. Mate will be managed next week so OHB can play. Those guys will improve with footy, we need to give them a chance.
Gray is 195cms but is not a key defender. He is a 3rd tall type who is agile enough to play on smaller players. Very good game but outstanding final term. He will need to tidy up some tackling issues and needs time to learn his role in our system, could be a really good AFL player. Think he is only 2021 draft crop.
Wilson just a great little VFL player, we should do our best to keep him around.
McAuliffe very one sided, it is a weakness he needs to improve, but another very good VFL performance.
Joel Garner a tremendous pick up through his role at the Gamadji. Just great for the young VFL players to be playing & training with him.
Really like Guiney today really good from him.
Scott was decent too,
Maurice sadly is below any level I have seen from him before so something is wrong. It appears physical because he was very engaged directing young players etc.
Our 3 string bean rucks are a bit easily shifted at this stage. I was actually fairly impressed with some of OHB’s work last week. We will almost certainly need to recruit a physically strong ruckman.
El Nour a bit better today, might not be far from his best now.
Biggest thing like our AFL team is the connection, with so many new players. That should just get better week by week, as with Oppo teams, but we may have more scope for improvement.
Faull, Alger, Sims, happy with all of those at this stage, not dominant but all moving nicely and will be learning. Can’t wait to see Smillie & later Hotton.
Koschitzke really solid at FB but a couple of poor errors. Decent game as we would expect.
