Staying away from:
Neale - while Dees do tend to go H2H with him, not impossible Harmes or if back Viney try work him over if he gets on top early. Not a “hard tag” but just a physical defence. He’s gone big v Dees but also a few “not captain” scores

Green - think he could be smoked after round 1 heat and flying to Perth

Docherty - yes Nicky D got off the chain but that makes it more likely Geelong look at different ways to stop that happening as it’s early in the season and they love having plans B, C & D - even if it’s not their preferred method, look to see them use a stopper on flankers/the good kicks

Dunkley - ironing out time in new club. Bank a 105-110 but not sure yet on going huge

Not sure the Cats have a defensive forward to run with Docherty. They’ll try and make him accountable, I’m backing him to go large this week.

He was in my team as a VC/C choice every week dammit! Surely the little kent was ill/had heat stroke last week, he gets another go. However, I will take a 120 from the VC choice just to be safe.

I think they’d be silly to not experiment this early in the season.

Atkins is a decent candidate and with Bowes in to take his midfield minutes there’s no robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Not saying it will happen or it will continue to happen, I just see it as something Geelong are likely to have plans for come finals time in case a Daicos type is controlling a finals match.
