Did scotty jeffery help you unfurl it? You really should have given him the honour seeing as he was BOG

Your coach in the presser said your players are not playing to the current interpretation of the rules as well as we did. Have a look at your frees against in the two games. You've conceded about 30 free kicks in both games. You're not entitled to get as many for as you get against either.

Who? Longmire?
Wow you got me there.

With High quality banter like that, you better watch out or Millky95 will try and get you over to the rats. Which would be suitable given the team you support

Ha!

The Dogs should not unfurl their first flag in generations before THEIR first home game of the season at THEIR home ground in front of THEIR fans so as not hurt the feelings of the LGF's (Losing Grand Finalists)?

You can't make this stuff up. Really.

I dont get the whole flag unfurling....seems like it should be done at the fan day next day after the gf. At the ground on Friday there wasnt that much fuss around it and alot of seats were empty when it was done...seemed pretty underwhelming for mine.

What fans? Probably only 28k turned up

Don't think anyone had a problem with unfurling the flag at your first home game. It was more so the fact that it had been scheduled against us which the AFL have control over, especially considering how you won..
How could you possibly not understand that?

As many on here know, I am so pissed off with how the other participant in one of the great grand finals of the modern era, the one who was one point down with 7 mins on the clock, has been virtually written out of the narrative because of your fairytale win.

But that's not your fault, it's entirely the media's, and I totally agree with you on this point.

Fixtures rarely have the GF losers having to watch the Flag unfurl.

In the last 17 years I think it's only happened 3 times.

The AFL draw is about 2 things: TV ratings. And TV ratings.

Why wouldn't they schedule the flag unfurling against Sydney?

The AFL doesn't get billion dollar deals for not knowing what its doing.

Have you ever even seen a Horse presser before that one? Allow me to translate what he was actually saying between the lines:

"I've just got to look at the way we coach them to be honest. The holding the ball decision was us and them," Longmire said.

<The dogs are umpired to a different standard than what we are when it comes to holding the ball>

"We must have missed something. We need to have a look at that, about what the prior opportunity (rule) is and how we're doing it versus our opposition.

<The umps need to start paying attention to the fact that the Bulldogs throw and drop the ball at every contest, because f*** knows why they don't get called for it>

"So we need to look into that, clearly, because it just felt at the time what we were doing around the contest compared with the opposition - they must be doing something a bit different we need to look at.

<To reiterate, the dogs get looked after, and f*** knows why>

"We're clearly doing it the wrong way, so we need to sharpen up on that."

<literally dripping with understated Longmire sarcasm, for the dogs fans that somehow missed it the first time around?!!>

Spot on. That was exactly what he was saying in his own dry style of sarcasm and to avoid a fine. Horse never has a go at the umps but he definitely did there.

As for unfurling the flag we just have to suck it up. The Dogs won and they should definitely unfurl it first home game no matter who they play. Why be precious about it? Use it as more motivation and try and make the GF again and actually show up this time.

Or he might be looking at the fact his team has the equal highest frees conceded after 2 rounds?

And no before you say it, that stat doesn't confirm the conspiracy against your team either as you have the been awarded the second highest as well.

Anyway I'll move on As I suspect I've overstayed my welcome..
