And like a warm blanket, the Dees return for Sunday 3:20 pm football in the icy confines of
This week, it's a showdown against perennial battlers North Melbourne, who pushed the faltering Dees to the limit in their last clash.
North come into this one off the back of a reasonable showing against the Dogs last week, nearly notching the ton on the scoreboard (wouldn't that be nice) thanks to contributions from the likes of Nick Larkey (five goals) and Paul Curtis (three). Short-priced Boomer Harvey Award favourite Jack Darling will also play his 300th game today.
The Dees head into the game following a spirited—but ultimately doomed—effort against flag fancies GWS last week and have brought back Charlie Spargo from the abyss, which I've heard will lead to a 'wave of joy' from fans. Welcome back, DJ (iykyk).
In terms of the game, it's 1:15 am as I'm writing this, so some more coherent and thoughtful comments are sure to follow when I've woken up. Hooroo!
