And like a warm blanket, the Dees return for Sunday 3:20 pm football in the icy confines of Soulless Marvel Stadium.

This week, it's a showdown against perennial battlers North Melbourne, who pushed the faltering Dees to the limit in their last clash.

North come into this one off the back of a reasonable showing against the Dogs last week, nearly notching the ton on the scoreboard (wouldn't that be nice) thanks to contributions from the likes of Nick Larkey (five goals) and Paul Curtis (three). Short-priced Boomer Harvey Award favourite Jack Darling will also play his 300th game today.

The Dees head into the game following a spirited—but ultimately doomed—effort against flag fancies GWS last week and have brought back Charlie Spargo from the abyss, which I've heard will lead to a 'wave of joy' from fans. Welcome back, DJ (iykyk).

In terms of the game, it's 1:15 am as I'm writing this, so some more coherent and thoughtful comments are sure to follow when I've woken up. Hooroo!​

Saw someone post on DL during the week that our gameplan drives fans away and they got howled down for it. We've said it plenty here but it is totally true, the more casual fans are turned off by that stuff. This is only bring exacerbated by literally every other team except Carlton understanding they need to move the ball more aggressively.

We kicked 100 3x last year lol no neutral fan is tuning into a dees game to watch Salem float around the backline dinking kicks to no one or Oliver get 30 dump kicks out of congestion.

Yeah, played last week, kicked 3 goals. That said, that was his first game back since missing a year after being brought into the team too early after injury....
