Lazzaro to play the pressure forward, so Jed gets back to the middle (Phillips rested)

Ford for Zurhaar (rested)

Polec for TT (concussion)

sub? not sure, maybe Lachie Young
I like it, a bunch more time in the middle for Stevo and some for Larazzo and Scott hopefully too

They're going to try and strangle us & deny the corridor.

Really interested to see how we work through it.

Need more of a handball based gameplan and.....

KEEP THE NUMBERS EVEN AHEAD OF THE BALL!!

Yep. This game more than any other we need to overboard with those short kicks and moving the ball by hand. This is a bit tongue in cheek, but there almost should be a team rule this week that unless you're under immediate pressure deep in the backline, there's no kicking over 40m. If we get sucked into kicking long to Larkey, then Stewart and co are just gonna intercept everything.

Long kicks from centre clearances are OK.

Any other time it’s a no no.

Our blokes have been a bit more smarter about when to go into the corridor and when to maintain possession over the last few weeks.

The cats won’t allow us anywhere near the freedom that Carlton did, wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot more long down the line type stuff and reset to win the contest on the throw in.

Big test.

are we expecting any rough treatment of Higgo on his 250th? I won't be surprised if Jy (or any of the other young lads) gets a bit physical toward with him to use against him what he helped created.

The Kangaroos should regain Jack Mahony from a shoulder injury and Robbie Tarrant from a minor adductor problem, with the club taking a cautious approach on both last week due to a six-day break. Tarryn Thomas' hot run of form will unfortunately be placed on pause, as he enters the AFL's 12-day concussion protocols. Will Phillips might also miss, having appeared to break his nose over the weekend. But, given the side's fantastic recent spell, don't expect any unforced changes for Saturday's clash with the Cats. Charlie Comben is knocking down the door, but might need to bide his time.

R19 medical sub: Jared Polec (replaced Will Phillips)

Verdict: Mahony and Tarrant to return for Thomas and Phillips. - Riley Beveridge

That’s not really like for like but hey. Keep Atu in the backline and put Taz forward? Haha

Comben knocking down the door? The kids played one game off a massive layoff. No doubting his talent but it’d be a bit silly to throw him into the seniors already. Just got to get him 100% for next year imo.
