If we keep getting ran over week in week out then lets shorten the side up big time. If we are too slow which we are lets bring some pace in... Id name it as

  to go back as a running back pocket, McCarthy to take all the kick ins 100% of the time (no more Duggan) . Allan to play HB for rest of the year as a lock down defender for the time being
• Move Dewar back to the wing. He showed the most there. Move Baker to the other wing. The wing is such a huge ass issue for us we just need someone to cover it for the rest of the year. In the off season make Lachie Sholl a target
• Up forward shorten it up big time. Have Ryan up the ground not from the square. Davis to play HF for the rest of the season in a defensive minded role. Champion to play rest of the year. Brockman to play the forward/mid role with a ton more time in the midfield then he is getting. Maric to play up forward leading from the square
• Chesser to play as a tagger. Bring him in and chuck him on Serong this week. Duggan to play at half forward when he comes on. Make him chase someone.

It will never happen. We are just too big a bunch of cowards to ever make any changes

I'm not sure what changes are realistic but I would like to see Bailey Williams, Kelly and Owies out. Hopefully Hewett is good to go, give Petch a run as a senior player with some versatility, and I don't know who else we bring in but they would probably have to be a forward (Long, Champion) for balance. I would still like to see Baker forward so perhaps Allan comes back in or Grego gets a run.

I understand that you can't just throw the kids to the wolves. What's the point of "senior" players though when they're not contributing?

The difference between us and Richmond is that they do have senior players that are providing cover for the kids.

Our best player is a 20 year old, and it's not fair that he's got to carry the side.

Yeah, maybe 4 changes is more realistic

Scrap the Owies -> Long and Cole -> Allan probably, mainly want the slight restructure in the f50 to be a bit shorter with more tackle pressure

I want to go smaller because Freo have alot of talls to be honest. Id rather have our forwards moving up the ground then sitting back and trying to take a mark against players they will never outmark

I mean smaller in the backline, theyve got 3 genuine KPFs plus a second ruckman, have to have at least 3 talls in our D50.
Playing Ginbey as our 3rd KPD is already going a lot smaller than them lol

Up forward yes go smaller, can do what we want in the forward line

Livingstone gets a debut because why not. He can back up Flynn, Billiams to play full forward and avoid Shanahan getting the number 1 defender in game 4.

Hewett straight swap for Kelly. I understood the logic in bringing him in but his performance was clearly lacking, give him a longer stint in the twos this time.

Long and Gross for Ryan (clearly not right) and Owies. Gross can split some midfield time with Harley and Hall.

Allan for Dewar who should not be played in the backline again, he’s too much of a liability.

For those calling for Cripps' head, this comes up every week. Why? Honestly, I would love to know what it is people are seeing (or not seeing) that I am not (or am).

For what it's worth I thought he was pretty good today, personally don't feel like I could lobby for him out this week. Thats 1 good game in the last 5 however. And we are absolutely kidding ourselves if he plays on.

The question I would ask you is, having just been getting spanked to the tune of 50 points on your home deck by the 2nd bottom side, with the guy we used pick 1 on in last years draft not getting a game, why is it you would actually care if the club just called in all of Cripps, Cole, Hunt, Kelly, and hell, Duggan as well and just said "thanks for your services lads but they are no longer required in 2025." If we can't win that match, we aren't winning any other match this season, so why are we picking the side we have deluded ourselves into thinking will beat anyone, and why aren't we instead picking a side made of players who need the experience, or players who we haven't seen enough from at the level? Would we be any less embarrassing with Cripps hanging up the boots for the season and Campbell Chesser playing the last 5 games in any position? Or Bo Allen playing 5 games instead of Tom Cole? Or Tom Gross playing instead of Tim Kelly? Or Malakai playing instead of Matt Owies? Would you begrudge Luca Greggo getting a debut in the circumstances we find ourselves in?

Seriously what shred of dignity is the club actually trying to salvage for itself at this point. At least we could respect them for trying to do something constructive in these last handful of game, instead of beclowning themselves by putting their faith in some of the worse players in the competition and pretending that they are moving the needle for us.
