Not too disappointed.

Injuries to good players and some others who are getting a bit long in the tooth or sore and just not as good as they could be. Missing Joe stands out like a sore thumb.

Plus some other teams have improved dramatically this year. And our draw is very problematic.

Let's regroup, see if we can win enough games to get into the finals and be as competitive as we can be.

Rucks aren't cutting it, down a good tall in attack and defence , down 2 lockdowns in defence. Doedee and Kiddy looking unlikely and don't know where we get improvement from personnel wise ,but we have a midfield there who should be able to put us in games if they turn up and put in. Which didn't happen today.

His recent VFL form has been very good but his four games last year were forgettable at best. He looked completely overawed at times. I'm happy to give him another try, but he'd want to perform a lot better than that stint.

Pretty miserable day all round sitting in the rain watching us get absolutely pantsed. Thought Harris tried hard considering the mountain of ball going into their forward line. Starcevic and Hipwood diabolical. Morris unsighted. Burn the tape

But we can develop a better one with injury recoveries ,some improvement from promising players and a couple of additions.

But if they all turn up reasonably fit and play well then we're good enough to be competitive in some finals games.

Just about sums up my thoughts on it as well.

I am not sold on the mix of our backline now with Payne and Answerth out, Gardiner and Lester in the same backline doesn't vibe with me, not much choice though, Darragh Joyce wouldn't be the answer.

Henry Smith needs to come in ASAP just to see if it makes a difference, Kiddy obviously automatically comes in if he finds his form.

Some names from the reserves that haven't already had a go this season who may be worth a shot, no more than 1 or 2 of them though - Shadeau Brain, Luke Beecken, Darragh Joyce, Luke Lloyd, Reece Torrent. Not expecting drastic changes though unless there is a similar result v the Pies next Saturday night.

One bright light for me was Ah Cher’s game. Was more involved and moved better. Had looked like he was carrying an injury or checked out. Perhaps he has decided to stay.

Geez, what do ya say to a game like that? We better come out breathing fire against the pies bcos they're going to have de goey & hill back and it's going to be humiliation central if we play like we have today. Although I can't see it. While I hate losing any game this game is of less importance than next week. 21 q clash wins to us vs 8 to them does not bespeak of a suns dynasty just yet. Let them enjoy their little win. They can pretend that it was the GF while we start getting ourselves prepped for next week.

Probably wouldn't hurt to get some injection of youth next week, it really helped us last year.

Give Marshall a full game, give McLachlan a game and give Gallop a game.
