When?I’ve seen Smith play, and he’s useless.

His recent VFL form has been very good but his four games last year were forgettable at best. He looked completely overawed at times. I'm happy to give him another try, but he'd want to perform a lot better than that stint. When?
I don't see him as being much worse than the two we had in today. His recent VFL form has been very good but his four games last year were forgettable at best. He looked completely overawed at times. I'm happy to give him another try, but he'd want to perform a lot better than that stint.
I agree, as I say I'm happy for him to have another go. I just want to see more from him than we got last timeI don't see him as being much worse than the two we had in today.
In fact he looks very promising to me.
Correct. This one isn't. Imo.This team is never going to win a flag.
Had a close look at today’s game and identified three areas of concern that if we can fix, we’re still in the mix.
And those areas are: the forward line, the backline and (brace yourselves) the midfield.
Sorry children, there will be no back to back.

Just about sums up my thoughts on it as well. Not too disappointed.
Injuries to good players and some others who are getting a bit long in the tooth or sore and just not as good as they could be. Missing Joe stands out like a sore thumb.
Plus some other teams have improved dramatically this year. And our draw is very problematic.
Let's regroup, see if we can win enough games to get into the finals and be as competitive as we can be.
Rucks aren't cutting it, down a good tall in attack and defence , down 2 lockdowns in defence. Doedee and Kiddy looking unlikely and don't know where we get improvement from personnel wise ,but we have a midfield there who should be able to put us in games if they turn up and put in. Which didn't happen today.

From last year's side in the second half of the year we are now missing:
Payne
Joe
Answerth
Oscar (degenerative injury)
Starce (shadow of himself no judgment)
it's a lot of quality height
i think the forward line overall has just looked way better with Day in it. Logan is struggling with extra attention now too
I love all the "I saw it coming" comments![]()
