Such a good kick! In remembrance of when our midfield couldn't hit the side of barn door in the forward 50 all those years ago I'm almost be tempted to light a candle in thanks.

What a turnaround its been, we have many reliable kicks in the team now, and not just reliable, but damaging.

The contest between Whitfield and Gulden that lead to the Blakey goal summed up why we are on the up and why they are on the way down. Two of our long term academy kids, both have always wanted to play for us versus a former number one pick from interstate who most probably largely at GWS because of an overs contract. I feel for GWS. They get picked apart by the Melbourne clubs, with big money long term contracts the only way they can keep players.

Very hard to umpire - easy to see on replay.

May be better to suspend players that duck, when there is more time for review.

You can try to evade the tackler by ducking. That's not against the rules.
Just makes it hard for the umpires.
I think if they umpire it hard for awhile the players will get the message and stop playing for frees. Who likes having their head ripped off for no benefit?

Amartey a bit of a dirty day but it's been more bad luck than poor effort. Thought he's tried real hard, just hasn't been his day. Unless McDonald or McLean has a massive one I'd back him in next week.
