It's a risky option that could be greatly rewarded though.

I'm not sure if this is brave or stupid (most likely stupid) but I'm making Broughton permacaptain for the rest of the season (barring injury or suspension). I took a punt with him as captain last week and it won my all 3 of my finals games (one was an elimination) despite having 4 saints players out. All 3 of my opponents had Gablett as captain. I'm into the prelim for 2 of my leagues so it can't hurt me so much this week.

i went broughton over ablett, only because im though to the prelim in all 3 leagues and i wanted to experiment, when playing opposition, ablett has been captain all year and will stay that way. the bloke is a gun, and whoever goes against him as captain deserves what they get, hes a gun, stick with him! plus he always owns sydney

Persisted with Ablett as captain and I got over the line in my league game by 20 points. He more than made up for the Chapman/Ballantyne 0 in my forward line.
