Literally talking about how we don't see the whole picture and you reply with "everyone can see what they contribute".

The point was we don't see what they contribute. There's much more than just the stat sheet with our game plan. If they ran hard to cover ground that stops the opposition from moving through there then they have contributed without getting a stat and without anyone watching on tv seeing what they did.
Coaches see that.
Clearly there is a reason they are still in.

No sh*t coaches make wrong decisions sometimes. But this isn't one selection error, this is an entire year of choices and each time they have chosen the same one. It's not like they are incapable of dropping smalls as they have with Rioli multiple times. So yeh that loyalty reasoning is clearly wrong. But nah you're right the selection committee have nfi and are just picking them just cos.

Yeh have your opinion. I'm giving you mine.
And as I said they have earned the trust by winning flags. Their decision have been far more right than wrong so how can you not think that they are seeing more than we are?

There's a big difference between the position that Edwards and Bolton played in the forward line and the small forward role.
The point is if they did what you is that we don't see we would not be in this mess.

Our team is more than the individual. On paper our team was never the best at any time. Giants have always had loads more talent, Crows were superior in 2017 etc.

So yeh Castagna wouldnt get games at other clubs but in our system he is valuable. I agree that has poor but the fact that he hasn't been dropped all year meens the coaches see something I don't. And after this system brought us 3 flags, I'm gonna trust it
I have always thought that argument was tosh. Other sides had more talent.
Our side was littered with stars. Martin, Cotchin, Prestia, Lynch, Riewoldt, Rance, Vlastuin, Edwards, Grimes, Lambert, Nankervis, Caddy 2017, Houli, Astbury, all A grade at some stage in their careers between 2017-20. That far exceeds our competitors. Rance is the best backman I have seen at Richmond behind St.Francis, Martin one of our greatest ever.

Crows had, Laird, Sloane, Walker, Betts and Talia. There side was full of B graders, Hartigan, Seedsman, Lever (was just starting), Jacobs, Crouch bros, Tom Lynch, Douglas, Jenkins, McKay, Aitkins, Cameron (better at Brisbane). Our side was easily more talented at the top end.

So we were able to carry players like Broad, Baker, Balta, Bolton and Short until they became very good players. We also covered the less talented role players.

Our stars brought us the flag, Dusty, Jack, Rance etc, and when the system kicked in and all our lesser lights understood their role we were unbeatable.
Those times have changed, like they do to all great teams.

im not too fussed if we lose today, plenty of positives coming out of this season.
we have found some young kids that can play, we have been devestated with injuries in all areas of the ground. we now have players playing lots of different positions learning the trade, this will hold us in good stead going into next year once we get players back we will be a more versatile team.
im liking what i am seeing.
we are just out of the 8 with half a team playing thats a far cry from where we were in years gone by.

Bit of bias there, you can't list Richmond players that were A grade some stage of their career and not to the same for Adelaide.
Adelaide had 8 players selected in the 2017 AA squad. 2nd most was Giants with 4. Clearly they had more than just 5 A graders.

Also it would be comparing 2017 Adelaide to 2017 Richmond specifically. Which I think Adelaide do come out on tap.

Name the A graders in their side besides the ones I named. Cameron was one I could have mentioned but I didn't think he was that good in 2017.
One year doesn't make a player, so in 2017 Adelaide were running on all cylinders all year, so these sides always get AA nominations.
Hartigan, Brown, Seedsman, McKay, Jacobs, Crouch bros, Atkins, Jenkins Lynch, Douglas, Knight, Kelly, Greenswood, Ottens.
That is 15 players, all good players, all very even across the park, but name the A graders in that lot.

Not only that, but Martin, Rance, Riewoldt, Cotchin. Adelaide's best were Sloane, Walker, Talia and Betts. Not really at the same level.

At the Three B’s bar n bistro between the casino and Optus Stadium. Its windy n squally n bursts of showers and right at the minute theres a gap for the sun to squeak through. Im told the ground drains really well. Carna Tigerrrs!!!!
Cold beer n great steak sanga.
