How do we limit Nick Daicos?
We probs don't have anyone that can run with him. If anything maybe Marshall coming off the wing because of his fitness levels and has a bit of pace/ agility that Dunkley and Berry lack.

He's a lot more dangerous when he receives the second possession at stoppage so should try tap it towards him if anything and have Dunkley use his size to pressure him in a contest. He's too quick once it spreads. I'd rather him handball (throw) in tight than kick it inside 50.

There's not much that stops him apart from a big team effort and us getting the ball in the midfield first.

Not this week, but maybe down the track I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Wilmot in a role like this. Would have the agility and speed to run with like that and the natural defensive mindset as well.

Some may say it might take away his attacking abilities and that may be true to an extent, but if his opponent didn’t pay him respect he could burn them the other way too.

I think if you're going to tag Daicos, you need to tag properly. He is still dangerous from the centre bounce. If the coaches decided to use Marshall on Daicos, and physically he might be the best option, then you play him in the centre square. Dunkley plays a more attacking role, WAshcroft and Hugh spend a tad more time on the wing.

I think i am the only one mentioning Joyce and most Lions BF posters would not go that way.

Lloyd still settling into his role in defense after being moved all over the place his first year.
ZZ has had a few positional changes including ruck. I think he needs another year to find his best position.

The other difference being Joyce has proven to be a solid replacement (24 AFL games) whereas the other two yet to debut.
Agree I would just like to see what Lloyd has to offer perhaps against Swans.

Hard to do from the back row of the bench.

The Lions will need to make a minimum of one change to face Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night following the injury suffered by McKenna. With Lohmann sidelined for a while, Will McLachlan looks a good option at half-forward, while Bruce Reville could also come under consideration for the 23. The two-pronged ruck approach struggled against Gold Coast last week, with either Sam Day or youngster Henry Smith strong chances to replace Oscar McInerney, who appears to be battling his body, and play as a key forward that back-up Darcy Fort. – Michael Whiting

Scott Pendlebury will return against Brisbane on Saturday night after being managed due to a corked quad last weekend. Howe has been ruled out for another week after his rehab was delayed due to illness. Sullivan will miss the rest of the season after suffering a high-grade PCL injury against Richmond, requiring 12 weeks on the sidelines. Bobby Hill, Jordan De Goey and Billy Frampton all made successful returns in the VFL on Saturday night and could face the Lions this weekend. – Josh Gabelich
