Probably wise not to play Johnson this week. A flare up of the hotspot could see him missing weeks.
I would think the first 23 players named will constitute the team that runs onto the MCG on Sunday.
Although the coach said a couple of weeks ago that he liked the forward structure with an extra midfielder I think Erasmus will probably be the sub. Emmett did enough to hold his spot.
I think Erasmus offers a bit more flexibility when compared to Brodie as sub if the sub has to be used early.
On the other hand Brodie could make a great tactical sub for use in the last quarter.

Brodie was good in 2022, and we know he has good hands. Might bring up his currency if we plan to trade him out. Also seems to have a good personal connection to Andy and Caleb, don’t know what the impact of that would be on field.

Erasmus is a high draft pick and potentially the future. I don’t think that we’ve given him an opportunity to have a good run in the 1sts in his preferred position.
