All forwards do this.

Sorry, but it's a fact that Fremantle is one of the only, if not the only team in the AFL that doesn't play 2 tall forwards.

Agreed, we play more talls on most occasions. Pavlich, Clarke, Taberner, Hannath, Griffin, A Pearce and Sandilands drifts in. We play at least 2-3 of those combinations every week in the forward line and its been exposed. Last week with all our inside 50s and just bombing the ball in and praying for a mark isnt helping. Sure Pearce is a defender but he is tall, all these players are 200cm or there abouts (some a tad more).

We haven't been as dangerous a forward since Ballantyne, Walters and Mayne in 2013 with Pavlich working around the 50m mark and up the ground. Just trying to make a point of the speed making a difference in predictability and exposing holes in defences rather than relying on a goliath to pluck a ball out the air from a 8 man pack.

I'd like to see an open running structure to be honest, Crozier in the pocket, Pavlich as a focal target, Mayne as a secondary and Walters with Ballantyne breaking into spaces on leads. Quick transition in and making the defence look like a plantation.

Gents.... since you got top 2 in the bag fell free to send over the kids and leave the likes of Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy at home..... it will help them fast track........

No, what has been exposed is our terrible delivery into the forward line.

Every team in the AFL plays 2 tall forwards and a resting ruckman. Either it's the biggest coincidence ever, or there's a reason for it.
