1 trade left. Must win game. Jelwood to go out. Zerrett, JPK and Cousins on bench this week and no Fwd/Mid to swing in hence will wear a donut, so must trade. Money no object.

Mids are currently Danger, Dusty, Neale, Murphy, Adams, Treloar, JPK, SSelwood (Zerrett, JPK, Cousins)
Q) Do I bring in the best pure mid I can (Titch, Oliver, Bont, Kelly), or a DP (Macrae, Yeo) so I can swing cover in future weeks as I can't rely on trades.

I'm thinking Macrae as Zerrett and JPK should be back next week?

Thoughts on Selwood and Witts for Beams and Jacobs leaving 2 trades.
I think Beams is great value with big potential.
Get Menegola, great pod and should get a few more points with jelwood out for the year and Duncan this week. The same goes for Scott Selwood if anyone needs a sub 400k mid then he could be a good option.

Well I've gone from Gibbs to Steele to Stefan Martin but now im thinking gettng on the JJK train and hoping for the best. obviously a massive ceiling but his round 22 and round 23 games worry me a bit with gws away and then adelaide at home, who he only averages 62 against which isnt ideal on the week of grand finals if your lucky enough to make it.

Whos everyone else getting in for Selwood and had **** all money to spend like me?

Last trade.
Lynch out.
Buddy in.

Could have traded Ablett jr out, and it probably makes more sense to do so at 600k - compared to trading out Lynch at a cheaper price. But I think Buddy is going to go big this weekend. With only a few rounds to go I don't mind punting on Bud.

Thinking Selwood to Coniglio and Witts to Kreuzer, unless Nank the Tank goes ballistic.

Or do you think that Martin/Mitchell are must haves?

Jelwood and lynch out

Either:

Conoglio / Parker and scooter via greenie (hoping scooters body doesn't fall apart for 3 weeks) or

Fyfe and a 322k fwd/mid/def

Any ideas?

I had $0 left before trading this week. See above

Under 322k is gamble city

Cloke??
Clarke
Mitch McGovern

Sounds like a plan just doesn't look so appealing on paper.

They're all really hot and cold. Hence their price.

Scooter is a safe 80+ each week, but both his legs could fall off at any minute. Hell, even Bruce Reid was more durable.

But geez fyfe is in beast mode at the moment and I'd love to have him. Whoever comes in will be loopholed.

I even considered Charlie Cameron as a left field option

Macrae is a very good choice. Scoring just like a premium mid, not uber, but as you said, the DPP swing will be so valuable once you run out of trades.

Need 1 out of

Gibbs, Gray, Hannebery, Wallis, Steele

Need to cover Zerrett this week and then they will be bench cover. Will use the emergency loophole with them.

Wallis and Steele gives me DPP with Greenwood but there both pretty flaky. Cant decide and only 1 trade left

Draft related trade question:
I have Grundy and need to drop one of the following to pick up a ruck free agent:
1. Nick Riewoldt - 87.5 avg, 70 3 rnd avg (leaning towards Nroo, he has an inflated average from early in the year, although he may fire up towards reaching finals)
2. James Sicily - 71.5 avg, 110 3 rnd avg
3. Brett Deledio - 57 avg (1 game played, slow start as expected)

Available free agent ruck options are:
1. Billy Longer - 74 avg, 93 3 rnd avg
2. Jon Griffin - 70 avg, 78 last round (Sean Darcy may return soon)
3. Jordan Roughead - 73 avg, 86 3 rnd avg
4. Kurt Tippett - spud

As you can see I am spoilt for choice.
If it's a keeper league, obviously NRoo out. Otherwise probably Deledio

Rather Kreuzer than Martin. Mitchell/Coniglio just depends how you're placed for PODs. Titch for consistency, Rabbit Boy for so-crazy-it-just-might-work.

OK, so the corner I've backed myself into: Danger's suspension changed my plans for Treloar > Oliver funded by Hibberd > Junker. Once I realised Treloar was playing our gimp-stacked midfield I went Danger > Oliver. Worked out OK I guess since Treloar vs Witherden (would have been on field if I'd kept Danger) basically won me a week off in my cashie. But now Jelwood and Lynch are out, my original plans for funding Danger back in are rooted and with 3 trades left I have this:

With Jelwood/Lynch > Danger/???, the best '???' I can come up with is Ryan Clarke. DPP and the best 3-round average of the forwards I can afford.

Wait a week, suck it up and hope Danger drops enough to afford a better FWD option?

bank?

Hardly any. Like 12K.
cool. now that i think about it doesnt really matter.
you're playing for a cashie win above all else so bugger this week.
1 trade only. Lynch to Callum Brown pocket the $290k

next week use that money to make the 2 best trades possible...who knows, Danger might get injured.

Crunch time - Knock out Semi - Cash league - 2 trades - 244.5k

Do I use both trades in going Jelwood + Zerret > Martin + Zorko?

Greenwood as F6 ... Shaw as D6 ...

**Edit ... Witherdon, White, Fisher as bench options :(

How's Parker gonna go this week... can use my 2nd last on getting him in.
To get Dusty it would involve using my last 2.
