Hirdy said in the post match presser that they have backed right off this last week or so as they were prepping for finals. I hope it means the final 2 weeks of the H & A season and the finals are actually worth watching...

Joe played a really good game for a first year kpp, missed a few shots for goal but he will get better. So much to look forward to with him, was very clean with his hands around the ground too (more than i can say for some). I don't think i have been to a game where we have made so many basic skill errors which really killed us/our momentum... e.g handballs at feet & short wayward kicks.

What has happened to the overlap and hard running? Earlier in the season we were smashing it in intercept marks and punishing teams on turnovers. Many times on Saturday, North butchered it and turned it over, instead of punishing them we butchered it back to them. Missing 3 meter handballs? ****ing auskick standard.

I was really impressed with JD early.. I mean I know he butchered his goal kicking.. but that can be from tiredness.. running harder than usual to get possession and 3/4 were from tough angles.

Seeing him clunk 5 marks was exciting imho.

Can't wait to see him up and running in the seniors full time next year.. I think the days of winning the goal kicking with 30 goals will be over!

Mate of mine umpired the game where he kicked 7.1 and completely tore an under 18 game apart.

Was told "don't miss Hirdy is watching" in which he duly went back, converted , winked and replied "I won't" or so the story goes..
