I thought he was largely invisible until late, when he received a couple of hand balls out congestion, to then find space in tight to kick the ball forward.

You missed the part where he snuck down for a kick-in at the end of the game. It's like he thinks he has a 50m penetrating kick and is the best option for a handball receive regardless of situation and pressure he's under.

I like these changes and I struggle to come up with anything different but it still doesn't provide us with much extra run. Personally I think we need to find a way to get Lohmann into the team for the rest of the season assuming there isn't a serious drop off in form.

I think there are some real positives to come out of the way we played in the first half today and if we're able to sustain it throughout a game we'll be right in the mix, the issue is sustaining the run and intent to change angles in transition and also the pressure and intensity around the contest.
If I was making changes I'd probably go with:

Outs: Robinson, Cockatoo, Mathieson, Gardiner
Ins: Starcevich, Rich, Lohmann, Payne

If we're talking about next season I'd add in Lyons and potentially Zorko out for Dev and Ashcroft, I think Wilmot forces his way in eventually as well. Still excited for the team going forward and I think there's plenty of exciting talent coming through, just a few of the senior players letting them down and have been for a while unfortunately.

• Pick between 3 talls and a ruck and 2 talls and 2 rucks. (Fort and to a lesser extent McStay were both not great). I dont mind either way but no matter what dont select a tall for a sub.
• Lyons should be out (but wouldn't surprise me if its Matho). We clearly cannot continue with both. Dev has to come in. He puts a lot more effort defensively.
• Starc in for Cockatoo. We need him back desperately
• Rich in for ?. Kiddy is amazing but he clearly runs out of steam. We need a second distributor
• If Bailey is out bring in Lohman.
• Robbo was poor and slow again but I dont know who we can bring in from the twos. Prior shouldn't have been dropped but sounds like his for hasn't been great

I can't see us making this many changes as we will likely back in the same players indefinitely. But I'd see this as the minimum
