Too hard this week!

Will have to watch the game again before giving votes but was a great team effort all round.

5. Murphy, the little fella is a star, both his inside and outside work were great. So good at creating space for himself.
4. Brock repaying the faith shown by his club, doesn't do the flashy things but gets the job done.
3. Gibbs was brilliant early, really showed us the player he can be.
2. Waite showed us why he's so important to our structure.
1. Simmo runs hard to both provide the link up man and also defensively to harass. Loved him giving it to the Bombers defender who ducked his head in the marking contest.

5. Murphy
4. McLean
3. Simpson
2. Gibbs
1. Waite

BYP - Casboult

Not an easy task outside of BOG who I thought was clearly Murphy.

A real team effort, every player out there did their bit and contributed nicely to a wonderful victory. As a result there are a few really unlucky people to miss out on my votes, too many to mention as a case could be argued for just about every player that was out there.

5. Marc Murphy - Knocked up getting touches. .. Half contested. .. 2 goals and brilliant delivery. ..
4. Heath Scotland - Lost count of the amount of times Essendon players second guessed because he was in the hole down back
3. Jarrad Waite - A bag of goals and plenty of contesting, what have we missed this year, imagine him and Hendo swapping on a wing
2. Eddie Betts - The way he pressures and contests marks for his height is amazing. .. The fact he is selfless and gives the ball off more than he scores is unbelievable
1. Bryce Gibbs - Every good win has a great outside link player, he was it

BYP: Levi Casboult - Would have been in the votes with that effort in an average game. .. "Ruck the Casbah" - my favourite comment of the arvo

Carrots, Mitch, Jeffie and White frightfully unlucky

5. Murphy - champ, what more can you say!
4. Gibbs - brilliant game
3. Waite - great focal point
2. Garlett - thought it was his best game this year
1. McLean

5. Marc Murphy :hearts:
4. Bryce Gibbs
3. Jarrad Waite
2. Brock McLean
1. Kade Simpson

BYP: "Rock The Casboult"

After watching the game for the fourth time (including the first at the ground) I think Aph's is the closest i'm going to get to choosing my top 5. Other mentions include:

Carrazzo and Curnow - did a great job shutting down Jobe and Stanton respectively. Funny how at 3/4 time Jobe was on 18 possies and by the end of the game he was on 29... wonder what happened at 3/4 time?

Garlett, Walker and Betts - While it wasn't Betts' best game goal wise and both Walker and Garlett missed set shots they should be getting they each had decent games. Their forward pressure and tackling was great all game. A great example is, ball spills in to forward 50, Garlett lays a tackle, Eddie does his thing, Walker run on to it and scores.

As a side note the ROOOOAAAARRRR of the crowd after Walker goals gives me goosebumps!

Scotland and defense: They were outsized and out experienced but were performed admirably. I think a big part of this was Scotland's experience and hardness. While White has been no SOS I've admired the way he's stepped up.

6 - James Hird for doing nothing except stare out of the coaches window all game. He made no moves whatsoever. We thought Ratten was a bad coach. Well played Hird.
---

5 - Murphy. STAR.
4 - Simpson. Gutsiest player going around I reckon.
3 - McLean. Goes from strength to strength. Re-sign him now!
2 - Waite. The most important inclusion in the last fortnight.
1 - CASBOULT. He has arrived. Hope he goes on to great things. Having two decent forwards just makes a world of difference.

Not much love for white... played a stellar of a game in my eyes....
I really rate White and he did a good job on Hurley,
On another note why is Hurleys softness continually overlooked? He constantly leads into a pocket and won't stand under a high ball. I lost count of the amount of times he chose to run under the ball rather than hold his ground. He's happy to get into a push and shove with a little bloke but when it comes to show proper toughness he's shown up.
