Dude, let it go. We aren't making it. Freo is in better form than all three sides, Brisbane have won 1 of their last 4 and just lost to second last, St. Kilda haven't won in 3 weeks and West Coast just lost to Collingwood. We aren't making finals

Obviously strongly disagree with you. Just get annoyed when people speak as if it’s a fact. It’s not, it’s just your opinion.

Will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

You want to make finals. I get that. But you have to admit, if we are a chance, it's an extremely remote one

Not with the draw a lot of the other teams. We’re still in the mix even with a loss to the Doggies because of our last two games against Suns and Pies.

Freo don’t have an easy draw. Eagles definitely don’t have an easy draw. GWS, Richmond and Carlton have games against each other.

Key games coming up with Freo vs Eagles, Richmond vs North, GWS vs Richmond & Carlton.

That being said, if we lose 10% again against the Doggies we’re stuffed.

Damn, Langers was huge against Syd.

If Laverde doesn't come up, Francis must play back.

Could Hird be in the mix?

Yes with our draw. Freo are playing an out of form Brisbane who have literally beaten one non bottom 6 side away from the Gabba, which was Carlton. They just lost to Hawthorne last week. They're favourites this week which means that to make finals, we need three of GWS, Richmond, West Coast and Freo to drop 2 games.

The issue with teams vying for finals playing each other means one of them wins, and that hurts us.

One of GWS or Sydney was a must win

A Brisbane side that decided to turn up in the last quarter and kick 8.2.

Against a Freo side decimated with injuries.

GWS are my concern. I don’t think they’ll beat Geelong this week. But the games against Richmond and Carlton are 50/50.

Richmond could still win two and we’d finish ahead of them (based on %). But if we get another 100+ point drubbing from the Doggies, we’re buggered.

Interestingly, Ralph just said games unlikely to be held in QLD for the next two weeks. So our game against GC very well could be in Victoria.

Freo could also lose all three

Brisbane will beat Fremantle.

Anyway.. our game.... we will get pumped. Hopefully we can go out and put on a respectable performance.
Actually agree, seriously not looking forward to this game........... we could be torn apart badly......midfield need to be ready and compete otherwise it could get ugly.

Who plays on Bont? I thought Langers would have been the match up....

Little bit surprised at all the doom & gloom & talk of a thrashing in this thread.

Bombers improved substantially yesterday on recent efforts & that was with a couple of passengers & players played out of position.

Dogs are very good & will win but there's a fair chance we can hold our own again against a better opponent.

The worst that can happen is we get thrashed; has happened before and will happen again. No inevitability that it will happen this week.

As bad as Tippa has been in the last month, I don't see him being dropped for this one.

They'll almost certainly keep playing him hoping he regains form/gets over whatever is holding him back but we miss his intensity so badly - 3 tackles & 1 goal the last 3 weeks ffs. In a tight game like that against the Swans, just his influence alone could have made the difference.

Agreed. If Tippa and Stringer had a day out together we would be hard to beat

Obviously hard to see how we win this one or even get close but if we show heart and keep ourselves in the game i'll be happy. Theres probably going to be a few that have to play sore. Id bring Flip in. He competes in the ruck and can take a grab forward or around the ground.

Injured: Heppell, Langford, McGrath, Caldwell, Jones, Reid, Hurley, Mosquito, Baldwin

Available: Hooker, Cutler, Ham, Gleeson, Zaharakis, Bryan, Cahill
