After a commanding performance in the end, will be interesting what the selection committee does heading into this one.

The two obvious inclusions are Berry and Witherden next week and for mine, the only players that will come under the microscope are Cox, Allison and Close.

My preference would be to leave Cox and Allison in the side as they'll only learn by playing in the seniors, however, Berry and Witherden are must inclusions therefore I think Cox and Close will be the omissions.

Would love to see Harwood and Cutler come into the side, but I just can't find two players to come out that I think the selection committee would omit. Barrett and Allison are the two that automatically spring to mind, although I think both will be safe based off their respective efforts against the Suns.

In:Witherden,Berry, Keays
Out:Cox, McLuggage, C.Beams

Cox looks a bit lost and hasn't played well of late and I think McLuggage looks toast as we get closer to the end of the season. Really struggling to run and chase by half time. Needs to hit the gym big time in the off season, his tackling really needs work. In saying that, the signs are obvious that he's going to be a top midfielder with a lot of nous.

Edit: Forgot about Claye Beams actually.

Hipwood looks tired for mine. The last rest didn't seen to help his performance much but my concern is that the risk of injury is much higher when playing when overdone. Do not want that kid injured - want a massive off season and prior to his big step up next year.

Would be happy if was rested next week.

Outs- C.Beams, Cox, Allison
In- Witherden, Berry,Keays

Need our best team out there for the Demons.

Out: CBeams & Cox
In: Witherden & Berry (if fit, otherwise Keays & Cutler as ins)

Cox was very quiet in the first half. He hasn't been terrible for a kid in his 7th game, but we simply have better young kids who can come in as ins.

I'd like Allison to get one more game. He wasn't terrible, but made a few howlers off the boot. But will be difficult to keep Keays & Cutler out.

Was Dawson injured yesterday?

I'd still like to see a more mobile forward line especially with Rocky and Beams spending more time forward.

Tbh it looked to me Cox was struggling to get his run on, I'd suspect the ankle injury is to blame.

I'd be approaching this game with no or at most 2 changes (witho and Berry).

If both are up to it:

In Berry, Witherden
Out C. Beams, Cox

I wouldn't want to drop Cox though. I'm struggling to find players to drop. I thought Cox played quite well from half time but looked a half step off (like I said, ankle injury no doubt effected his game)

Hi All
wondering what end does the lions cheer squad occupy at the MCG? Will be there next weekend (first trip to the G!) and would love to sit there. And do I just get GA tickets? Any other tips? And what's the best Roys pub to attend post game?

Lions by 19!

I sit in the members at the MCG, but the cheer squad usually sits at the city end of the G. Can't help in relation to your other questions.

Normally city end but the club normally suggests a section to sit together so check club Twitter or pre game info online.

Just need a ga ticket.

At Etihad the club normally organises post match drinks at the stadium. Can't recall if that happens at the mcg or not.

If your looking for a Fitzroy pub maybe for lunch one day you're here there's plenty of memorabilia up at north Fitzroy arms, some at the rose, the Napier and the standard. (All in Fitzroy)

R u aware Cox was injured? From sen may not play anyway, just to be fair on the young kid.

Let's limit the changes. Missing only one week for a hammy is a pretty quick return. Wouldn't be surprised to see Witherden given another week off. We don't seem to know much about Berry's injury. I think Claye Beams did enough to retain his spot. Don't accept the view of some that decisions have been made about Claye Beams. Why play him this weekend if that is the case?

If there are changes, then Witherden & Berry for Cox and one of McCluggage/Allison. I think Allison did enough to retain his spot.

Get there an hour before, go to the Northern stand and get as near to the members section as possible, which will position you between half forward and the wing.Get top level . You could walk from Fitzroy if you had 40 minutes or so.Down Nicholson.

Not sure why some here would replace Cox/Allison with Keays. Keays is too similar to Barrett and at this stage Barrett is miles ahead. Cox and Allison add much more to our side than Keays. I feel that Keays is that sort of player that needs 30-40 NEAFL games under his belt before he can consider himself in our best 22. This year we have seen so many, including Barrett go ahead of him.
For me this week
IN: Berry & Witho
OUT: Claye & (s--- this is hard). On team balance probably Cox.

No guarantee of Witherdon 's fitness yet.He and Berry will have to be 100 percent plus to be risked. This is a tricky selection week,as Close hasn't helped the selectors by his game unfortunately, and Cutler, Keays and Lyon are pressing , bit different this year!!!
