There's obviously not many changes that can be made with no one at Peel really demanding a spot. A few players to come back for Essendon by the looks of their injury list - Saad and McKenna - good run off half back.

Colyer maybe gets a chance against his old side and Nyhuis to lock down on a small forward just to stiffen up the defence with someone diligent and close checking.

Shultz, Carter and Banfield the likely candidates to be dropped.
You need some forward structure can’t go into this weeks game with the same hodgepodge setup as last week

Carter was poor but he deserves another go at home, his first game was alright. Give him the last 2 games so we get a proper look.

Out: Banfield isn't a forward, if there's no room in the midfield then he's out. Dunno why we haven't realized this with some of the guys we've been plunking on the HFF this year.

Out: Schultz isn't up to the level. Just doesn't have the tools and we're carrying enough WAFL players as it is.

In: Dardy. He might have a couple of soft efforts but he'll still kick goals.

In: Sturt, last home game let's just see what he's got.

Cam needs to become a true high half forward leading up and then using his best asset his field kicking to deliver into 50
The caveat on this is will fitness prohibit him from making this his role

Sorry captain to disagree re Sturt, nothing to be gained, let’s leave him until next year. Agree with Carter, leave him there until season ends, let him make a few mistakes but hopefully learn from them. Bring on down Cam MAC and Colyer, can be fumbly and is down on confidence but is more skilled than Schultz and has more upside imo.

I can't help but laugh at people saying we should tank. Sure we can't make finals, we still should aim to win as many games as we can, like any good team does. Trying to lose is the literal worst thing a team can do, tanking is a cancer to sport.

And it's not like we nail any of our first round draft picks anyway.

Please take him.
Did a great job with the top up year but since then it's been thanks for coming. No idea when it comes to managing young players.
In his favour IMO our list has been very over rated.
He won a premiership at WC on the back of a damn good group of mature, battle-hardened players, especially the star-studded midfield, and solid backline. Forwards were't world beaters alone, but Matera the Younger was a pretty handy small forward. They got a decent amount of goals from their mids, and the talls got good service from them. But he, as a coach, wasn't an Alistair Clarkson by any means. Sooner you get rid of him, the more likely you'll get up and running IMO.

ESS lack on-field leadership, they are introverts.

Hawks Bulldogs Bombers and Pot lose their last 2 games each and we somehow stupidly play finals (hawks can beat CG this week and it can still happen). The esiest teams any of them play are us and North, week 23 might be exciting yet.

Duman dived and smothered a kick off Long at the top of the 10m square - saved a goal, so he wasn't completely useless.
No he did some good things, for sure. Peeling off his man and leaving him dangerous on their hf line before we had won the ball, late in the game though, was very harmful.

A lot of players do that however they ensure they make contact with the ball... He's learning.. This is what comes with developing our players. Disappointing yes but we shouldn't be acting like fanatical parents at Auskick..

No he wasn't spoiling, he was at ground level and peeled off his man while the two taller players were contesting. His opponent was left free on the hff and the tall Saints guy won the contest and got the ball out to Duman's opponent. It seemed to me it wasn't a good time to punt that we would win the ball.

Wrong play. Didn’t even need to come in and help. One on one situation. No one was going to win it. Dumb play that opened up their forward line.

The thing is I don’t think he’s a defender seems more a wing man, why do we play so many players out of position Duman Cerra and Blakely aren’t defenders ffs.
So which wing do we drop so that Duman can play in what you think seems to be the one he should be playing in? Knightmare posted what most seemed to be saying before Duman was drafted; "Taylin Duman light bodied but could become a key defender."

Clearly he has potential to play elsewhere, but stretching it to say he is being played out of position. Duman's main issue is that he is 21 years old and has only played 22 games and is still learning. I think he is doing well.

I think he is a defender but he has been picked over Nyhuis because he is supposedly more attacking. That comes at a cost
Last week Ross was talking up the possibility of a couple of youngsters debuting. This week nothing when does he usually do his pre game presser

Sturt and Huge not in the "in the mix" article on FFC website. Can probably put a line through either debuting this week.
Is anybody in the mix that will allow your mids who win their fair share of ball to actually kick it with conviction to a contest where someone might actually take a grab or at least bring the ball to ground

His fitness isn't an issue, hes one of the best runners at the club. He could play that role well, issue is the coaching staff keep using him in a role closer to goal and don't let him get up and roam.

He has had 11 tackles in the past 2 weeks so i suspect he gets a game.
