Absolute garbage dished up for three quarters.
Changes need to be made as we aren't winning finals with the current team.

Out: Mzungu, DeBoer, D Pearce
In: Weller, Langdon, Duffield

Need skill and speed and these guys can add that and vs Melbourne is a prime opportunity.

Any chance fyfe will miss? I doubt it myself, looked like jacobs flung his head back. Was ok. If fyfe gets a week and hodge is given a fine i will quit watching footy and join a local darts comp

Honestly thought before the game where were the goals going to come from? I don't understand why Tabs isn't getting games this year,
and today was like looking into the future without Pavlich.
Having a two tall pronged attack, with Tabs, Pearce today, ruck resting forward, and have the option of sending Pearce back, Johnno forward,
etc, creates an advantage.
No point talking about the unskilled, nothing will change till next year, cross fingers, and Crozier has proven he is only sub material ATM,
doesn't deserve a full game.

It's the delivery into the forward line. It's abysmal. The forwards don't help when only 1-2 are above average and lose one on ones so easily.

Well if RTB wants to play the young guys just one more time (Weller, Blakely, Langdon, etc), this is the perfect game to do so. I don't know how we'll go against Port, so this is a must-win, but I think we can win this game comfortably at home. Should rest Sandi. Gawn is a good ruckman, but I think Griffin can handle him, especially with Z Clarke, Dawson, or Taberner to pinch ruck.

IN: Pavlich, Blakely, C Pearce, Taberner/Z Clarke
OUT: Mzungu (form), A Pearce (rest), De Boer (form), Sandilands (rest)

Blakely and Zac C are injured.Tabs is way down on form. Clancee did not play well.
Not a lot of form to bring in from Peel.Duff was OK ,Ballard and Hughes played well but both are rookies.

True, but at least Tabs makes continuous leads, and runs half forward, wing, to create space behind him.

You're joking? Barlow was our best today. No idea why he keeps playing that high forward role! Just chuck him in the midfield ahead of Mzungu ffs!
Out: A. Pearce (it's time, he's done for the season- first year), Mzungu, De Boer
In: Pav (if fit), Weller (if fit), Clancee Pearce and Taberner (just PLAY him ffs!, offers more up forward then Pearce)
Barlow was not near our best. He butchered it going forward far too often.

So many errors that even amateur footballers don't commit.

On a side note you might get your wish of freo finishing second now.

I have some serious doubts over some of the players in our team and have for some time now.

Zac Dawson- yes he's only played 2 games this year but he is so predictable with ball in hand. Always handballs. He got absolutely killed by brown today. Of course he is giving away some height but at least play tight on him.

Matt DdB- can tackle yes, but not the super sub we need to give us the extra run through the middle. His lollypop kicks gives the opposition time to get to the pack.

Muzungu- has been one of my favourite players in the past. I really hope he's just having a off season but doesn't have that spark up the wings he used to. Could be the position he's playing. I'm not sure.

Crozier- plays well as a sub but goes missing in full games. Is a terrific kick of the ball mostly but soft when it comes to 50/50 ground balls.

Sheridan- plays well as a loose defender or on the wing but can also be soft.

I understand not all players can be 'inside hard ball getters' but show that you want the ball and want to do it for your team. I think clancee would.

Danyle Pearce- is a big long penetrating kick but his kicking efficiency is rubbish. He too kicks lollipops. I've never been a fan but was impressed with the start of his season. I think he is a front runner and plays well when the team is.

I personally think suban has been our best sub in the past because if his aggression and pace.

Are some of these players trade bait? Are some getting games because the train the house down? I don't know. All I know is we can't have these players not performing to win a final let alone a gf.

Thoughts?

The reverse

5 - Mzungu
4 - Crozier
3 - D. Pearce (12 touches, average of 3 touches a quarter :thumbsu:)
2 - Sheridan
1 - Tie between Suban and Dawson

21 players on the field, 6 players that played shit, that's more than a quarter of the team under performing in a must win game.

I think Sandilands definitely deserves a rest, at the very least.

True but unfortunately he's been let down by those around him. Need to lock down top spot and had every opportunity to do that the last 2 games.

Unfortunately it is that time of the season when young players are weary and prone to injuries. Mid year was the best time to work a few through the line up, unless we have genuinely dead games.

Ins and Outs too difficult;

Was Pav being rested or is it a genuine injury?
With Clarke not an option is Moller worth a run?
Langdon seems like the only likely young gun, and Duffield the only likely old head who could return.

IN; Pavlich, Langdon, Moller
OUT; de Boer, A Pearce (rest), Sandilands (rest)

whadyareckon?

Mzungu and Crozier should be dropped.

Ballard and Taberner should come in.

Any other changes should be for rest purposes.

God no! Play Hannath over Moller for now.
