Brisbane/ Adelaide game Friday night v 7th or 8th
Bulldogs at Etihad Sat arvo v 7th or 8th
Coll V Geel Sat night
St Kilda v 4th Sunday arvo

The problem with this scenario is in week 2.

The loser of Stk v 4, plays winner of Bris/Ade v 8th. This game would have to played on the Saturday night, meaning lower team has 8 day break compared to higher team having 6 day break.

The top team chooses the Sunday in the first week of the finals. Its their right as minor premier. to have the maximum break coming into the first week of the finals. If they botch that, then its bad luck.

I agree, and I'm referring more to 4th placed team. (Probably yours or my team)

Is it really fair that they play with 2 days less break.

If Hawthorn/Essendon are defeated this week, the AFL should simply transfer their game to the Sunday Night slot at Telstra & the Slumdogs/Collingwood match at the G on Saturday.

As long as every team gets a minimum six day break, I'm happy for the cards to fall as they may. Better off having a six day break by being 4th and losing a QF than having a six month break by being 5th and losing an EF.
