I can sort of see why they passed on Butters and went for Rozee but it just wasn’t going to work out.
Trying to come up with other names that would warrant being Ports captain isn’t easy.
Apart from Butters I can’t think of one that is remotely close to taking the role.

Problem is that the sepsis was allowed to spread to the entire body. The brain (board) covtracted encephalitis around the time the foot got gangrenous and is now also filled with abscesses after the heart developed fulminant endocarditis.

I actually watched the Essendon v Saints game last night and was pleasantly surprised with the effort that the Essendon team put in, considering their lengthy injury list, playing for pride in the jumper and the fans I suspect.

Even the coach praised the fans for having to put up with the last decade.

Gee you've done a 180 on Rozee!

It's funny how I was the original Rozee critic and now I'm kind of like meh about it whilst everyone else feasts on his carcass.

He's still one of our better players but he's a cream on the cake player and can be exposed badly if things aren't working well around him.

He doesn't play like a captain but who does? Butters but who knows when he'll want out. Ollie but they obviously didn't want to go back to him. Other than that the cupboard is bare so Rozee is a default captain in a sense.

That can't be... It just can't.

But giving a 1.5 game player a tribute game at the expense of Ramm/Jackson/Lai etc is a fitting end for a useless hack of a coach.
