KMac has had a pretty decent season. He's certainly played up to my expectations and on occasions surpassed them. A role change has seen his kick/hb ratio move from career 65/35 to 55/45 in 2025.

100% satisfied with the way we have creatively deployed KMac. On form he could go around again. I'm sure the club via Blair and KMac will make the right call there.

He was absolutely unfairly bagged after last week's game. He had 15 touches (3 CP, 12 UP), disposal 78% (as a team we went at 72%), 5 intercepts, and in a very low scoring game where we managed just 7 goals, KMac kicked 1 of those goals.

Two questions for the fans getting hung up on KMac's last possession where he ran a little too far and was penalised. Same thing happened to Nasiah - who many are touting as right there with Sam Darcy, Naicos and Finn Callaghan as the best young player in the game.
  • Did you cheer KMac's goal in Q1 - which was our overdue opener?
  • Did you also post about Wanganeen-Milera's judgment error and how hopeless he is for running too far?

he's great insurance in that he can be competitive in most roles but that's all he is now, a willing battler that has a crack when called upon. if he's in our best 23 players with a full squad to choose from we're cooked.

KMac has had his day in the Sun, time to move on gracefully and retire at the end of the season.

I would rather a younger player stay on the list who offer's more going forward than a short term fix.

While I agree I’d give him another year. Hopefully he’s only playing to cover injury, give kids a rest week and when needed for team balance.

It's a travesty that Clarke did another ACL and can't take his spot though. I'm not convinced we have any potential great wingers with slick skills on our list other than Clarke

KMac will be taking games off younger players every time he strolls out. I’d rather 11 games into two debutants than to have him run around again.

We’re realistically not making finals for a couple of years - and we need to get games into youngsters.

And as mentioned above - it allows us to take a speculative punt on a kid in the draft with potentially some upside.

It’s rebuild time - and that means we say thanks to him - and look to the future.

Carlton beat Essendon by 40 points
Suns beat Essendon by 100 points.

Richmond beat Norf by 20 points.
Geelong beat Richmond by 20 points.

We go above Essendon on the ladder by 0.1%.

But we know if he gets another year the MC will play him in every AFL game
Not so sure about that. Towards the end of the year they started playing him as the sub didn’t they? Then he ended up playing games because of injuries.

Port Melbourne rolled the Pies &
Suns leading GWS.
Things going well for our VFL boys.

Yep, it was good to see the Pies lose to Port and the Giants lose to the Suns. We are currently 6th, just ahead of the pies.
If we beat Willi and Franston beat the Lions, we go 5th. If we beat Willi and Lions beat Frankston, we remain 6th.

If we lose, we go 7th and play the wildcard game. Dees play hawks and hawks should win that tomorrow.

He's already been told he's gone at the end of this year. Up to us to just enjoy his last two games.

You’re watching a different player to me. He has been ordinary this year for the most part. Should have been dropped well before now and would have been had we not had so many injured

I get the feeling that he would have been picked regardless. That's why I'm worried that he'll be offered another season.

It's bad enough that Short gets picked every week.

agree..Clarke going down again has hurt out future plans.
fingers crossed we can get him back up and running in 26'

North don't play to win though given the way they continue to chop and change their line up, rather than focusing on the long term development of their players.

We on the other hand have been steadfast in our approach, especially this year as the structure and game plan have remained constant even when injuries have forced changes to the line up.

That is what I mean by playing to win. It's the long term approach rather than looking for the quick results.
True but we are their Grand Final
