Cripps has had a good year. I want him delisted because he's 34 next year and we have more half forwards than we know what to do with and unlike Ryan who's heads not really in it this year and has been way off with his goal licking, Cripps is operating at about 100% of his capacity and it ain't all that great. Anyone who thinks Cripps at any stage of his career was a more dangerous player or better player than Liam Ryan needs to just give following footy away.

To put it in real terms, Cripps is currently uncontracted, the idea that there might be clubs out there asking about Cripps or that St Kilda are saying to us "Well who we really want is Cripps, her could really take our forward line to another level next year, but would you let go of Liam Ryan instead?'' They are night and day, Ryan at his best [and he's still been pretty good] is a marquee level player.

To answer other posters who wanted to know who he was better than to be in our top 5. Well to me top 5 this year has been Harley, Rubes, Baker. Not sure anyone else is really in the same category. You can make arguments that Graham and Cripps and Duggan have been reliable and Liam Ryan is in that same conversation but underneath Harley and Baker turning it on here and there I'd struggle to name anyone who's been above Ryan in terms of being able to swing a game or create some momentum for us. Possibly McCarty is next in that conversation. Hewett could be in that conversation but his fitness and finishing has let him down more than Ryans. We are very low on match winners and Ryan can still be one, and in games that were actually live in the 4th quarter or close to half time he has very obviously been a player who consistently lifted his level to try and win us those matches, albeit his radar has been off [he's never been an elite kick at goal though, which people seem to forget]. Overall though he looks to have suffered more than most with the boredom of playing a season worth of games we had no chance of ever winning.

I know he won't read my reply coz I'm BLOCKED but you must've missed half the quarter typing this essay out.

Man, Hewett would want to get get stronger on the ball. It’s a really big red flag. If he’s going to be a burst player, he needs to be more balanced. Hough/Dewar/Hall need to go and kick a pill for 5 months in the pre-season. Christ it’s like they’ve got shock absorbers in their feet.

So rubber chest Williams drops a regulation mark, and he and Cripps let cunningham run past them to receive the ball and deliver it forward under no pressure
