That was good. That’s how you do it. You don’t have to win, you just have to play in a way that shows there is improvement to be had, and we’ve seen that despite not getting a win in the last 3 weeks, we have a pathway… till we **** it up and trade all our picks for 5 x 30 year olds
Still, 15 players debuted.. Brad Scott now has the debut record.. Who the hell would have seen that coming? And we’ll probably see another one
The round that was
Essendon Bombers vs St Kilda
That was acceptable -
I appreciate that it would have been great for some of the players to finally get the sing the song, and it may have been the first time more players were inside the huddle than out for the song, but alas, it will have to wait until we smash Carlton on Thursday. Still, good to ensure the Saints stay above our other first-round pick.
Of course, no Essendon game this season comes without negatives, and whichever one of you clowns kicked fates nuts in the nads, go and apologise right now! Of all the players we could lose, we are potentially seeing 2025’s ultimate foot soldier in Jason Laverde, go down. Add McMahon to that.. Who we better ****en sign on soon… just sucks

Carlton Blues vs Port Adelaide
**** Port. **** Carlton. **** this game that I didn’t watch for even a minute, for reasons made clear below.
Ahh ****, McKay finds form just before he plays us when we have no defenders left. Good luck Redman.

Hahah, looks like the AFL is a bit ashamed of this crowd.
The Last Time We Met
Considering the backline we had to run for this game, Carlton really ****en sucked. Sadly, this game will be remembered more for Duhram's incident than Lual’s first goal, and surprisingly decent first game.

The Selection Table
Possible Outs -
McMahon (inj)
Laverde (inj)
Guelfi -
Gresh
Possible Ins -
Zach Johnson - Good again in the VFL
Merrett if he is more then ok to play.
Shiel - Will likely get a recall right away
Gerreyn - Number 16 on it’s way?
ADJ - Does he get a last chance to impress
Visentini - Short turn around, but Goldy is also a beast
My Prediction -
This will be the best match of the season and Chanel 7 will look like ****en idiots for not showing it… I’m on a lot of drugs right now - see below.
Dons by a point.
Demons Deathriding Update
Sometimes is best to just look at the ladder and not think about what caused it. This is one of those times.
Current Pick: 5
Story time - This preview was written from a hospital bed, so give me some extra love, and no it’s not for a damaged heart from Friday night, but incidently, I did get admitted Friday night, and I probably would have gone in at least 45 minutes earlier than I did, but the dons were planning so darn well I didn’t want to miss it. Wonder what would have happened if I had gone there earlier (That's a proper sliding doors moment, Barrett you ****en Goose!)
