Pretty sure Lewis and Hodge don't like Cwood - Buckley may reached same conclusion for different reasons. Pretty sure I saw a raised elbow in that footage.I disagree.
The panel of 4 who unanimously thought there was nothing in it included Buckley, and you can’t reasonably say he has a dislike of Collingwood.
IMO it was more driven by a yearning for the good ol’ days when they all played. And the game was more physical. And MRO sanction guidelines weren’t written by lawyers trying to mitigate risks of litigation.
They all thought Moore was fine and not concussed, nothing more. No conspiracies, no yearning for the days of yore.
If they’d known Moore wouldn’t come back on after half time and was in protocols they’d have assessed differently.
No it wasn’t, that was broadcast earlier look at the time of the tweet that’s been posted. It was during half time.

It's just bias. That’s slightly different then. Whether it’s a blind spot in their knowledge or not, I’d hope someone behind the scenes could take a couple of minutes to look at the grading guidelines.
So there's no acknowledgement of the potentially dangerous act of Moore taking out Pickett's legs due to his deliberate decision to go to ground at the last moment and slide into the ball? It would be entirely reasonable to think that a player would keep their feet and not take the legs out from under an opponent in that situation, the sliding rule is in place to cut out that exact type of action from players after all. If Pickett comes out of that contact with a bad ankle injury or an ACL and is out an extended period does that change anything?
I know we've got blinkers on this one for obvious reasons, but I don't think it's as cut and dried as most on here would think after having watched it again multiple times - Moore definitely contributed to the contact significantly in a way Pickett couldn't have anticipated or most likely avoided in the time he had to do so when it looked like a regular bit of body contact in the process of pushing the ball towards the boundary line coming in.
Where the MRO / tribunal end up on this is anybody's guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pickett does get off.
Imagine the afl ever gifting us a soft game last up like Geelong get at home regularly
Agree to an extent. Footy is played at a frenetic pace. Doubting he wanted to knock him in the head.its a suspension even if Darcy wasnt concussed..elects to bump and goes past the football and makes head high contact. he even tucks his arm in to brace for impact.
They gifted us the Dees. Just how soft do you want a game to be?Imagine the afl ever gifting us a soft game last up like Geelong get at home regularly
Hodge is a complete joke . After enduring his nonsense in grand final 23 coverage he’s even plunged to lower depths this year actively barracking against us .These guys can’t control their old playing biases so you get this garbage coming through on commentaryHodge is just a flat out idiot

Watch where Pickett finishes - he wasn't making contact to turn back to the ball or whatever they were suggesting on the footy panel last night. I'm most disappointed in Lyon's lacklustre response. He always goes hard at players who make contact with the head. And we all know why.Watch where Pickett finishes - he wasn't making contact to turn back to the ball or whatever they were suggesting on the footy panel last night. Bucks always gets these wrong. And Lewis has recently started focussing on what the concussed player has done to contribute to the incident, which might be more relevant for tackles, but not when you go past the ball and elect to bump a player playing the ball. Pickett is gone.

Not surprising he didn't go as hard at this one. Said he was being the devil's advocate but just continued to made excuses
Even the nuffies complaining about players being suspended based on the outcome & not the action.Think of all those nuffies who haven't gotten over Maynard not being suspended. They've now been trolled by the commentators and think Pickett will get off. They're going to lose their shit. It's great.
Thanks mate, much appreciated, cheers! I liked that set too! If you go to albums at the top, there is quite a few games in pics, and a ten minute video in the grand final album of the 2022-2023 seasons! My copy is 18 minutes long, I had to shorten it for Flickr!Wonderful pics, thanks for sharing!
