I don't think he's a HFF more like Fritsch who is more like a rangy marking forward. Fritsch isn't an old school HFF.
No he isn’t because he works hard but they attack the ball similar. The difference is the hard work and the contested work. My reason he is similar is they both play outside the contest and can jump and kick very well. He is a poor man’s fritch because of his faults that fritch doesn’t have.

The best thing is to get to the airport 3 hours before the plane left and book in everything then go straight to the bar then get on the plAns and don’t stop drinking until last drinks on the plane.

I hate being drunk on a plane. Back in the old days AirNZ would let you drink as much as you could manage. You'd get off the plane feeling like death.

I agree they play the same style, just not HFFs.

People say that and I’m certain it’s true for most. That isn’t me. Last time I was in Bangkok I did exactly as I said and was in go go bars until 6 in the morning after getting to Bangkok at 9 pm.

Where does fritch play? Surely he is a hff and a fp. They all rotate.

They might get named in that spot but they don't play like the old HFFs. Fritsch seems to patrol somewhere between the deep forward and the higher tall forward. He seems to stay quite central and the deeper forward pull out to the sides and leave him in space.

Saints/Lions goal comparison vs WB

Phillipou 3 / Gunston 3
Owens 3 / Hipwood 1
Caminiti 2 / Daniher 0
Gresham 2 / Cameron 1
Cordy 2 / Rayner 1
Wood 1 / Neale 1

Our makeshift forwards outperformed one of the best forward lines in the comp by a decent margin.
We just need Butler and Higgins to fire.. exciting times.. compared to last year where we needed King and Higgins to play out of their skins to win, this year we actual have a good system, anyone can come in and play a role.

Working on one game is a little silly. Working on 2 games isn’t even a good sample size. Round 5 or 6 are the rounds to work out about 80% of the 8.

Wrexham FC,
I’ve never understood the hype .. we plucked him out of SANFL reserves and he had a couple good games late in the season but I remember thinking he didn’t do anything special with his goals he had a few cherry picks and just popped up in the right spot

I remember thinking to not get carried away because I couldn’t really see anything special

Basically described the job of a key forward. Kick goals

My respect for you “lifers” is enormous.

As a relatively “newbie” 20yr supporter, 14yr member, I am totally committed, but you guys who’ve been around on the roller coaster that is a Saints supporter for decades, going to the footy with your dads and families - got to take my hat off to you for your years of loyalty.

Enjoying hearing everyone’s stories.

I'm calling shenanigans. No 20 year old talks with this amount of humility and respect!

Flew Garuda once & the hostie just gestured to the bar fridge in the galley like ‘just help yourselves boys’.

Didn’t say I’m 20!
said I’m a 20 yr supporter….
( I’m an immigrant, didn’t grow up here if that clarifies things a little)
Like myself -arrived here with family in 2011 and had the choice of 18 teams. (The great Tommy Walsh played his part ☘️)…fully immersed in club and love being part of saints family ( although kids have questioned the choice on a few occasions).

Just thinking about why we have been playing so well .
If you think about the last few seasons especially when we went forward we either bombed it long to King or Membrey so the other sides defense knew who to cover or double team . This season at the moment we have no one really to bomb it to so we are looking for any option that comes which means their defenders can’t leave their man to double team someone else . At the moment it’s working but it will be interesting when King and Membrey eventually get back in the side what we will do then .

Anyway I hope we can beat the drug cheats by heaps and we continue on . Getting a good percentage now could be important later in the year .

My wife bought me a Kayo subscription for this year as I dont think I will be able to make it to any games anymore due to my back .
So officially in the injury list i will be listed as 2 weeks , 😂.

Stringer could be the 1st player in history to self combust from chafing

Stringer averages more goals against us than he does against any other team.
Fat, unfit, out of form - he is a massive danger in this game.
Would’ve felt a lot more confident with him in the VFL for one more week.
