I want to know what the hierarchy at the club wants supporters to feel and do. Just another mid table year at absolute best coming up. Literally zero to be excited about, future picks given up, a spoon winning reserves side. Its looking very gloomy right now, and after 21 years, success is still as far away as it has ever been.
If there's a game that Hinkley may walk it's against Geelong where his friends are.If Hinkley is still the coach by the home game against Geelong, there'll be less than 20,000 there. Anyone who still thinks he should stay needs their head read.

Fair comment on heat last week taking a toll with the short break. It was hot as a spectator so would have been exhausting for players.Essendon played pretty good with their tackling around stoppages and closing own space, skills were much better too. Port were as terrible as possible after the first term by turing over turnovers instead of capitalising and kicking the easy goals, somehow found a way to **** it up and give the ball back. Killed through the middle and in the midfield.
Extra fatigue set in for the Port players after playing in 26 degrees vs 21 for Essendon with a short break is a big killer at this time of the year for match fitness, you just can't train that type of fitness and hold it for a whole season.
Moraes is a gun.
Not 15 play on, unless it goes to the opposition then it's a mark.
The small amount of pre-season I observed was very underwhelming. Lacked intensity. You can't convince me that our players did any sort of a pre season with the way we've run out the first 3 games.
Never play Sweet and Soldo in the same side again
Maybe he'll change sides at half time.If there's a game that Hinkley may walk it's against Geelong where his friends are.
Drew is serviceable, rest are class playersI am ok, the loss doesn't matter to me because Ken is gone.
I think we got players we can work with post kenny.
Burgoyne looks class
Geo looks a beast when he is at his best.
Moraes looks a player.
Butters Drew Rozzee JHF are still class regardless of their form.
I liked his game last week. Love his attack on the ball & positive play. Just got overly ambitious with some of his disposal. Still think we have a quality player who will learn from his mistakes.Don't know what's happened to Evans this year. Clear case of second year blues, he hasn't been good at all.
Have to love that chase by Moraes on the outer wing. He was 5 metres behind at one stage but he busted his gut to put pressure on that Essendon player.
You can tell he cares.
A pity that his more senior team mates don't.
Hinks doesn't want a Captain that will challenge him. Hinks doesn't want anyone to challenge him.I feel like the club doesn't even want a captain that delivers all of those things. Doesn't feel like they want the early 2000's tough Port, instead they just want pretty boys that can pose in photos at trendy coffee shops.
In that moment he not only ran past Boak but showed why he has gone past Boak on field.Have to love that chase by Moraes on the outer wing. He was 5 metres behind at one stage but he busted his gut to put pressure on that Essendon player.
You can tell he cares.
A pity that his more senior team mates don't.
Whilst I don't feel any peaks and troughs anymore, I do just feel a constant sense of depression around this club. Been just so long since we had any hope.I don't feel anything the day after losses anymore lol
Why is everyone reacting this way? You all know what to expect now. There will be no meaningful change at the club until we, the fans and members, stop handing over our hard earned money. The club's social media team will just delete your comments and the club itself won't listen at AGMs. So stop giving them your time and attention.
For perspective sake, those still to come back in/on injury list:
Ollie Lord: Played one flukey game against andrews otherwise garbage
Jed McEntee: Dont need to say anything
Lachy Jones: Plays a good game as often as my mrs period; once a month if lucky. She still bleeds more for the club than him
Tommy A: Lightweight, small probably gets delisted at the end of the year
Zak Butters: Only player that will make a difference in our side
BZT: Absolute unco defender; see prelim last year
Burton: Careers done
Luko: Laconic unco
Marshall: Laconic concussed unco with a torn achillies
Not so much to look forward to other than Butters who with Bergman probably get traded in the near future to get some draft picks we will inevitably burn. We’re going to be in a hole for a long long time
Agree Soldo needed to be subbed early in Q3 as Bombers were getting on top in general play. Such an obvious move.1- why was Rioli starting mid at each start of the quarter. We are getting smacked in the middle and forward line and you take your best forward player and put him in a position he has played minimal time. Puzzling
2- why wouldn’t you put JHF one out in the goal square, we were struggling to get a score and he has proven that he has forward craft. And he was struggling in the midfield
3- soldo did nothing, why it took you that long to sub him off was bizarre, we needed fresh legs, was basically playing 17 v 18 when soldo was out there. 5 mins into the third was the time to pull the trigger
Just very poorly coached tonight
TrueVote with your feet, I tore up my membership at the end of 2017. Ken would not be coach in 2018 if everyone was like me.

that was woeful. someone in the thread said it was as headless, directionless as the Primus era and that's what I felt watching, particularly in that first half. I know first halves of footy games in this day and age are almost pointless to watch, sort of like with NBA, but that wasn't even an entertaining, skillful product on display. that was diabolical, comedic buffoonery, headless and mindless really is what it is.
they were absolutely cooked to the point where it was embarrassing to watch. we actually didn't do a single hard session in the pre-season. I remember we were all here monitoring everything happening and nothing was happening. we didn't do a pre-season and it shows. we are the most amateur AFL club by design, we mustn't use any of the facilities we've created at all. I beg anyone reading to tell me what day or what week they did high intensity training, please find out somehow, give us a photo or something, anything, is there any proof we did anything significant at all? or is it all on the players to go away and do their own little sessions by themselves or with company in USA or whatever? they don't work on their skills, their bodies or their fitness at our football club.
Mitch Georgiades is cool
