Round 3 Captain

We do have a very attacking minded midfield except for Hocking and Welsh (injured). Knights will probably like to test the kids one on one instead of running with players, althought I do expect Hocking to pick up someone. I just can't see how Hocking will be able to stay with Judd, although he is first cab of the rank as usual.

Monfries tagged a few last year (McLeod & Birchall spring to mind) and was rather effective from memory. But he wouldn't be able to keep with Judd either, so that rules him out. Hocking has elite endurance, it's just his bursts of speed that he lacks a little in. Could go with Judd, but I think Murphy would be the more logical choice for Heath.

Hocking will go to Judd or even Murphy before Gibbs.

Gibbs
34 disposals, 29 uncontested
15 marks, 15 uncontested
5 clearances

Judd:
25 disposals, 14 uncontested
3 marks, 2 uncontested
7 clearances

Good choices would be.

Kornes - Sure to chew through the Dees

Selwood - I reckon he is due. Loves the hard game and is sure to be down the tagging list from ABC.

Judd - I reckon Gibbs cannot hold his form and Judd is on the way up. He will win more hard ball.

Big Cox - If you paid for him you might as well take a punt. Eagles go well against Saints.

Gibbs -> He's the Bartel in the JGM Carlton combination.

Highest averaging player this year and playing Essendon. :thumbsu:

Surely one of the Cornes' bros. I've been to both Melbourne games this year and watched us fall away in 2nd half. Kane is junkyard master, lives to get the cheap possies. We also don't play well in Adelaide, usually lose by 10 goals+. Chad will float around on half back line and through the midfield.

Going to go with one of the Cornes brothers or Ablett. The Pies can't/wont/don't tag as hard as other teams do and Ablett should carve them up again similar to the NAB GF. The Cornes brothers should both go well against the young Dees at AAMI.

Both Chad and Kane are pretty safe options this week I would have thought, given their opposition.

MATTHEW Knights is looking forward to the "tribal warfare" of Saturday's clash against traditional rival Carlton, but Mark McVeigh won't be joining his teammates on the field of battle.

McVeigh, 28, is progressing well in his recovery from a pre-season ankle injury, but Knights won't rush the important onballer.

Was close this week but giving him another week apparently Gibbs and Ablett firming as favourite for this weeks Captain. :thumbsu:

Fraser: Should dominate again like last week with no notable rucks for Geelong.
