Round 2 saw some great football, key injuries to some of the games star players, teams completely changing their Round 1 form and the Knights finally winning a game of football. It all sets up for an interesting Round of Rugby League this weekend.

It starts on Thursday Night 8.05pm when the Storm return home for the first time since their loss in the Grand Final last year to meet the Broncos in what is always great clash. The Storm will be looking forward to the dry conditions that Melbourne offers despite getting two wins on the road to start the season and the Broncos will be looking to bounce back from yet another Golden Point loss to the Cowboys. With Billy Slater cleared to play it will be a talking point in the lead up and of course we'll be having our now traditional Thursday Night LIVE Match Discussion Thread for the match as well.

Friday 6.00pm sees the Bulldogs take their home game against the Warriors to the New Zealand South Island and Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium. Both teams will be happy for the roof considering the rain both have copped in their Friday 6pm games so far. This game could be a classic case of which "Bulldogs" and which "Warriors" team turn up to play.

The Friday 8.05pm game should be an easy win to the rampaging Eels who travel to the Gold Coast to visit the Hayne train-less Titans. But the Titans played better in Round 2 without him. But what interest there was in this match limped off the field already.

Saturday 4.30pm sees the start of Super Saturday with the Knights backing up off a win facing the Rabbitohs who showed that there is indeed life after GI.

The most interesting match of the Round in my opinion comes at Saturday 7pm with the Panthers opening their home account against the Roosters. The Panthers showed on the weekend the form that made them pre season Premiership favourites while the Roosters again showed they can play football to match any team but need to show it for more than 50 mins.

The final game of Saturday comes at 9pm when the Cowboys meet the Sea Eagles. With the losses the Cowboys have in their forward pack (Scott out for the season) and the fact they have gone to Golden Point in both matches so far it would normally see them go into the match under a cloud but the Sea Eagles have lost two home matches in a row and with JT guiding them, the Cowboys should avoid golden point this week.

Sunday starts at 4pm with Raiders meeting the Wests Tigers and this has quickly become a must win game for the Raiders.

The weekend finishes off on Sunday 6.30pm with the Battle of the Shire between the Sharks and the Dragons. Both teams will be out for bragging rights in this one.

All in all an interesting round ahead

Will bring team lists and other relevant info as it comes to hand

It's a shame I so loathe the Storm and the Broncos, cos I reckon it'd be a great match to go to.

I haven't looked too far ahead into the fixture, but the NRL is a real chance of turning Thursday Night footy into a really big deal if they're going to give us matches like this.

For the Raiders? We almost go from being top 4 certainties to being close to f*cked if we can't beat the Tigers at home. Round 1 we were unlucky, but Saturday night against the Sharks was just brutal.

No Corey Norman for the Eels. Has been one of the early stars in the NRL and will be a huge loss. I still expect Parramatta to win, but maybe now they'll only sneak home by 4-8 pts.

Finally a decision that makes sense, and recognises Victoria's presence in the NRL.
A stand alone State Of Origin match at the mecca of world sport in 2018.
THE G...............

As usual, it'll be a record breaking crowd, and a fantastic spectacle.
