Yer Stiffy, all out attack is the best way to go to be honest, espec at Subiaco. Id like to think we have enough talent in there to beat them hands down.

We will see.
Players should be told to relax & just enjoy their footy again. You never know, they may even play OK!

Why???????

While I rate Polak as a great prospect he is not the biggest bloke going around. Last time we played Freo at Subiaco Hentschel stood him and did a very good job on him. I don't think Polak is good enough yet as a key forward to warranty someone like McGregor to pick him up.

Kane, I think you are forgetting that Kenny is our CHF at the moment and is likely to remain so until Perrie runs into some sort of form.

Just for the interstaters, young Luke Jericho kicked 6 goals for Westies to steer them to victory over norwood today.

Must be even closer to getting a guernsey with the Crows after today.

He'll be a good player, this kid.

I watched that on TV and he certainly stood out. Glad that he is not playing tomorrow.

I was going to start a new thread on this.

How good was he?????? Its fair to say that he is as raw as hell but can he pull a goal out of his backside or what?????? I thought he was just cruising through the game for 2 and a half quarters but then he just went nuts. Two goals in a space of 2 minutes brought Westies within a couple of goals from Norwood and he just went on with it in the last quarter.

Took a screamer too. There is still a lot of development to come from Jezza but he cairtainly is a bit of an excitement machine. 6 goals in his 3rd SANFL game (seniors) is something special. Two weeks in a row the kid is a match winner for westies.

Hazell is a workhorse. Again Norwood's best player IMHO and is pretty good at clearences.

Jezza BOG for mine. The kid is an excitement machine. I am not convinced he is AFL ready just yet but one would have to wonder how he would go as a floating forward for the Crows. He would catch a few teams off guard that for sure.

macca23, doesn't Glover (#19 for Westies) remind you of David Gallagher. That bloke has no peripheral vision what so ever. I don't think he even knows the meaning of awareness.

Stiffy, read what I said again. ie. Please do not play Stinger as our regular CHB, be ir on Polak or whoever. Why start playing everyone out of their normal position? What next Carey in the ruck & Roo to full-back?

No not as a regular CHB but if he is a good match up for someone then there is no harm in playing him there.

Completely disagree, as Stinger is our ONLY run-with player & that is where he plays his best footy (as opposed to CHB). We have plenty of better options than Stinger to replace Kenny as a KPP at CHB, as previously mentioned. Why are we insisting on scewing up the team structure, because of our refusal to play Perrie at CHF?!

Yeah pretty much :D

The bloke got the footy a fair bit and kicked Westies first goal but he was like rabbit in the spotlight when he got the ball. He got caught at least 4 times.

What did you think of Hazell???????

I disagree becaue there are times when we opt to go head to head and not use taggers. we have done it in the past. If Stenglein is good to match up on someone in defence, be it CHB, FB, BP or HBF play him there. As I said before, I think we will go head to head trommorrow and not worry about tagging anyone from the opposition. If this is the case then I think that Stenglein is a good match up for Polak. Having said that I think we have more than enought talls tommorrow so I would suspect that Hentschel will play on Polak.

As for Perrie, he needs to get back to some form before he gets a game for the Crows. I am not sure if he played for anyone this week as North had a bye. I f he didn't I doubt we would bring him back in. I agree with you 100% that Perrie is our best option at CHF and Kenny is best at CHB. This way we are putting our best team on the park and having a reasonalbe spine. Playing Kenny at CHF robs us in defence.

Hazell has genuine ability. Works his arse off and is very neat and tidy in everything he does.

He's probably the most likely of the rookies to be promoted at this stage if any do get promoted.

Stiffy, answer me this. If we are going into this game top-heavy with too many talls, why in the heck would we play a midfielder as a KPP...

I made the comment of playing Stenglein on Polak before I knew we were going in with 3 ruckman and did not drop a tall from previous week. As I said in the post that you just quoted, since we have enough talls in the team I doubt Stenglein will play on Polak. Hentschel will most probably get that job. Stenglein will either play on HBF or in the midfield.

BTW, I don't agree with playing Stinger at CHB, unless we have a shortage of talls. Will be interesting to see how T-Potential handles CHB. He may provide us more run from CHB.

Thats about how I saw it. He is a real workhorse and he looks the most likely rookie to be promoted. As Kane says with his discipline and work ethis I wonder if he woud make a good tagger. He is a good side and is strong in the air. If he can concentrate for 120 minutes then he is a fair chance of being a good tagger.

If he provves to be a good tagger we might look at trading Stenglein back to WA at the end of the year to get a good draft pick or a good youngster.

I reckon in time he could make a very good attacking CHB. For now I think the coaching staff will ask him to stay with his man. Once he gets more experience at AFL level he will become more attacking.

Stenglein's no stranger to CHB. When we drafted him he had been playing CHB all that year in the WAFL.

I was refering to T-Potential :p

Stenglein was a FB from memory until we played him as a CHF in SANFL before getting him to lose some weight so he can become a tagger.
