Ratts can lift, but he needs the guys to execute, and put some effort in

Warnock also needs to lift

Ratten's job is to coach the players

If they don't perform he has to take the blame

His performance is directly related to what happens on the ground

Wow... does this side have any inkling of heart? Seriously, the way we played tonight is so shit that we may have just bent over and copped it, we would have ended up with a similar scoreline anyway.

Umpires were umpires, I went on a swearing spree a few times at them, but our turnovers were, simply, Richmond standard. Can't believe just how bad our ball use was.

So sad right now, not angry. Carlton should be/are a better side than what they displayed tonight. However, if we continue to dish up this shizen, then you can throw any finals dreams out the window. Massive improvement needed across the entire side, save for maybe Simpson.

A brutal and honest assessment would be that most of our senior players are VFL quality players. Simple.

I ain't willing to call season over after Round 3. Yes, we played ridiculously shit tonight, no questions, and yes, if we continue on this path, then finals are gone. But who says we aren't going to improve?

Our run does look bleak for the next 6 or so weeks, but if we can just lift our standard and scavenge 2-3 wins, then anything is possible. Surprised that I'm trying to be so level-headed, but trust me I am not feeling too great.

walker is no different to everyone else tonight, poor disposal!!! However, why he is on gumbleton is beyond me, ratten again has coached poorly.

Im no fan of walker, i hate him cuz of a personal issue however tonight he cant be singled out.

Stop deleting threads where people make constructive comments about the perfomance of this club or otherwise refund me the money I paid to post here.

To those posters who want to adopt the blame the coach hysteria, perhaps take a closer look at the players. Ask yourself why some players aren't prepared to bleed for the Navy Blue & White guernsey.

We won premierships in the '70s & early '80s, not because we had a team full of stars (we had a few), but because we had players who would go out most weeks & leave nothing on the field. At the moment I don't believe all of the 22 players we are putting on the field really want to give all they have for the guernsey. That could change, but at the moment I think our players need a reminder of what it means to wear the Navy Blue & White.

The threads are locked so that we don't end up with innumerable "look at me, I'm so unhappy because of players/coach/tactics/club" type threads after a loss which clog up the board no end.

Pretty much exactly what this thread is as a matter of fact - just add "moderators" to the list.
